Since its debut, Lollapalooza India has charted a deliberate and dynamic ascent. The inaugural edition served as a bold blueprint to test the appetite for a truly global music experience on Indian soil followed by power-packed editions each year thereafter. From Imagine Dragons and The Strokes sharing the stage with AP Dhillon and DIVINE in 2023, to Sting, OneRepublic, Jonas Brothers, The Raghu Dixit Project and Prabh Deep in 2024 and Green Day and Shawn Mendes' India debut in 2025 alongside Louis Tomlinson and Hanumankind, Lollapalooza India has turned talent into global currency, amplifying India's voice on the world map while shining a spotlight on homegrown artists. As a cultural anchor, it has redefined how the country experiences live music, creating a living, breathing community that has turned the festival into an annual musical pilgrimage; one that is inclusive, rooted in discovery and defined by unforgettable moments. Over the past three editions, lakhs of fans have gathered for over 60 hours of live music featuring 100+ artists from around the world and India's thriving independent music community. According to a survey conducted by Live Nation with Lollapalooza India 2025's attendees, over tens and thousands of fans travelled to Mumbai for the festival, making Lollapalooza India a true destination for music lovers nationwide. They included those arriving with friends, transforming the festival into an annual reunion, as well as solo attendees drawn by the promise of new connections and the energy of a like-minded community. The festival's atmosphere was cited by 62% as the reason they come back, owing to the intangible energy, the freedom to discover and the assurance that there will always be more to find than what is printed on the schedule. Over half of all respondents said they come to Lollapalooza India specifically to stumble upon new music, a testament to the festival's promise of creating a culture of discovery rather than passive consumption. Beyond the music, the Lolla Food Park continues to resonate strongly, becoming a food festival within a festival, with audiences valuing the diversity of choices it adds to the experience. An overwhelming 98% plan to return, year after year, reinforcing Lollapalooza India's standing as a cultural mainstay and cornerstone of Asia's most dynamic live entertainment renaissance. One of its defining trends has been the culture of surprise on stage. Lollapalooza India has made once-in-a-lifetime collaborations part of its signature, rewriting what a festival set can be. From Nick Jonas and King, DIVINE and Jonita Gandhi, Keane with Anoushka Shankar, Eric Nam with Armaan Malik, Zedd with Cory Wong and The Karan Kanchan Experience with Yashraj, Kayan, Hanumankind, D'Evil, MC Altaf, to moments like Shawn Mendes proudly wearing Indian cricket star Virat Kohli's jersey and Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong calling a fan on stage to perform 'Dilemma' before gifting him his iconic red guitar, Lollapalooza India's stages have become launchpads for hallmark musical moments that can't be replicated, setting new ideas and unshackled sounds for India's next generation of fans. Beyond the stage, the festival's #LollaForChange commitment has embedded sustainability, inclusivity and accessibility into every corner of the experience. Sign language interpreters, PWD risers, wheelchair-friendly layouts, safe spaces, free hydration stations for unlimited water refill, gender-neutral washrooms, waste segregation, trained counsellors and help desks make sure everyone is truly welcome. Family-friendly measures like the Tag Your Kid programme and protective earplugs for children ensure a safer experience for all ages. Lollapalooza India's footprint is just as deliberate with tonnes of single-use plastic diverted from landfills, surplus food donated to local communities and green travel campaigns like #TakeTheTrain and Cityflo shuttle partnerships reinforcing the festival's larger responsibility to the city that hosts it. Meanwhile, the Lolla Food Park has transformed festival food into a celebration of India's culinary diversity, with over 200 F&B brands weaving local and global flavours into the experience since 2023. With global and home-grown brands H&M, Budweiser 0.0, Johnnie Walker Refreshing Mixer Non-Alcoholic, RuPay, Airbnb and more supporting the festival in 2026, the fourth edition promises another genre-agnostic line-up and culture-shaping weekend that will raise the bar yet again. Stay tuned for a jaw-dropping lineup; one India has never seen before! Register on for more updates and information on Lollapalooza India 2026.
