Biggest skincare trends for 2025 Face The Future's Head of Clinic, Kimberley Medd, shared the five skincare trends predicted to take off in 2025. 1. Exosomes Exosomes are the buzzword for 2025, taking advanced skin regeneration to new heights. These micro-messengers signal skin cells to repair damage, boost collagen, and accelerate recovery, and they're a gamechanger for targeting ageing. 2. Streamlined Skincare The age of 12-step routines is fading as consumers shift to more intentional, multi-functional products. Streamlining skincare not only saves time but also reduces the risk of overloading your skin. In 2025, we'll see a rise in hybrid products that combine active ingredients for simplified, effective results. 3. Vegan Collagen Plant-based collagen will dominate the skincare world this year, providing a sustainable, ethical alternative to traditional animal-derived collagen. Expect vegan collagen in everything from moisturisers to serums. 4. The Rise Of AI AI is revolutionising the beauty landscape, making it possible for consumers to get truly personalised skincare solutions. In 2025, we predict a dramatic shift towards AI-powered tools that help people understand their skin on a deeper level. 5. Hair Loss Solutions - Hair loss is an issue that affects more men than we often realise, and it's no longer just something we're talking about behind closed doors. This year, expect to see a continued rise in demand for treatments that not only tackle hair loss but also nurture overall scalp health. L'Oreal advises beauty fans to use the product every day, on thoroughly cleansed skin. One beauty fan has also been raving about another posh cream that she said makes her look decades younger than 70. The Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Refining Moisture Cream Complex would normally cost £40, but it's available for just £15 right now on Amazon. And shoppers are also raving about Boots' range of Korean skincare, as beauty experts estimate that South Korea is 10-12 years ahead of the Europe and the US in terms of skincare and aesthetic treatments. However, as many products contain salmon sperm, Korean beauty isn't for everyone.

Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin reveals her beauty must-haves
Reviews and recommendations are unbiased and products are independently selected. Postmedia may earn an affiliate commission from purchases made through links on this page. Article content Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin's resume is, by all measures, impressive. Article content Article content The six-time Juno Award winner, Album of the Year winner, and Billboard Canada Women of the Year winner has added another bullet point to the list of achievements: a L'Oréal Paris ambassador. Article content The Montreal-born, now Paris-based singer has been named a face of the global beauty brand in both Canada and France. Article content It's a dual-country representation that Cardin says is a proper fit. Article content 'I'm Québécoise — I grew up in Canada, but I now live in France, so it just made sense for me to be an ambassador for both places,' Cardin explains. 'I think what they have in common — aside from the language, of course — is that both have this 'less-is-more' approach when it comes to beauty.' Article content Where Cardin says Parisians are known for a 'chic, effortless vibe,' the style in Quebec embraces a more natural approach. Article content 'So even though fashion and beauty trends differ between the two, that understated, natural approach is something they share,' she says. 'And it's definitely something I connect with.' Article content Article content Article content View this post on Instagram A post shared by L'Oréal Paris Official (@lorealparis) Article content The 99 Nights singer says the brand role is more than just a business move, it's a continuation of a relationship with a company that has long played a role in her life. 'I grew up watching my mom, my grandmothers and my sister do their makeup, so L'Oréal has always been present in some way,' Cardin says. 'Beyond that, I really connect with the brand's values. L'Oréal has always spoken about feminism, female empowerment and inner beauty — and those are values I deeply believe in.' The singer-songwriter says she's 'very proud' to take on the new role. Article content Article content Article content As for her personal approach to beauty — with her flawless complexion, blue eyes and big smile, Cardin has become somewhat of a darling in fashion and beauty, too — the star leans in to the less-is-more approach that suits both Canada and France. 'Makeup, for me, has always been about enhancing my features rather than hiding behind anything,' she notes. 'I think makeup is such a creative, beautiful thing, and even though I'm not the most skilled or creative when it comes to doing my makeup, I've always felt like the best version of myself when I use just a little bit to enhance certain features.' She admits, though, that she arrived at that approach as part of a personal beauty evolution. 'Coming from a modelling background, I've had experiences where people used my face and my body as their canvas,' Cardin says. 'And while some of those experiences were eye-opening and creatively interesting, it never fully felt right to me.' When the now-30-year-old stopped modelling at age 19 she recalls feeling empowered to 'reclaim the narrative of my own body and beauty' and to use beauty to tell her story — her way. 'Rather than being a vessel for someone else's,' she says. 'I think my simple, classic approach to beauty and the fact that I don't wear a lot of makeup probably comes from that — it's my way of keeping it authentic and connected to who I am.' Cardin points to the Plump Ambition Gloss by L'Oréal Paris in the shade Worth It as her personal go-to. 'It's so natural,' she says of the sheer, peachy pink shade. 'It gives that kind of kissed-lip look, with a nice shine, but without any stickiness. Plus, it's plumping and has this little tingling effect on the lips, which feels amazing.' Article content Article content Article content A beauty discussion with Cardin wouldn't be complete without touching on her trademark tresses. Her long, honey-brown locks are the source of admiration — and envy — for many a beauty fan. 'For my hair, I really try to stay away from heat tools,' Cardin dishes. 'I don't use blow dryers or irons unless it's for a special event and my hairdresser is styling it. Usually, I just let it air-dry naturally and let it do its thing. 'That's honestly how I've managed to keep it as healthy as possible over the years.' Article content

Transgender Model Munroe Bergdorf Shares Her Journey from Cancellation to Comeback in New Documentary 'Love & Rage' (Exclusive)
Transgender model Munroe Bergdorf is releasing a powerful new documentary, Love & Rage, on July 15 Per a synopsis, the film "sparks a universal conversation on identity, feminism, race and hope" Bergdorf made headlines in 2017 when she was fired from her role as a L'Oréal Paris spokesmodel, after making history as the first transgender model to front a U.K. campaign for the brandMunroe Bergdorf is ready to tell her story. In a new documentary Love & Rage, the trailblazing transgender model looks back on her life and career journey, including her highly publicized firing from her spokesmodel role at L'Oréal Paris in 2017 (the company ultimately rehired her three years later). Per a synopsis, the film "explores her journey, activism, and the balance between personal needs and public responsibility. Through Munroe's story, the film sparks a universal conversation on identity, feminism, race, and hope." In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE, Bergdorf is seen celebrating her 36th birthday surrounded by friends. "There's always been a voice inside of me that was unsure whether or not I'd make it past 35," she says in a voiceover. "So to be 36 is exciting because I've got so much to look forward to and be grateful for." "I don't think that many trans people, let alone many Black trans people, really get to tell our stories whilst we're alive on our own terms, and show the 360-experience of what it means to be a trans person in today's society — what it means to be a trans woman, a queer woman, a black woman, all of the parts of who we are," Munroe tells PEOPLE. She continues, "We're in a very unique time in history where the assault on trans lives and trans rights and healthcare are being ramped up and being used as a wedge issue to attack all of our rights, so it is a really pertinent moment to tell my story but also it's not just my story. It's about all of us, about what it means to be human and not existing in a constant state of struggle and survival, and about what happens when we prioritize love and fight for that love." ! From struggling with identity in childhood to grappling with public scrutiny as a transgender activist, Love & Rage allows Bergdorf to reflect on her personal journey. "She got me to where I am today," she says of her past self. "Every single decision that she made got me to this moment. Sometimes I think there could have been a smoother way here, but at the same time I've learned so much from the negative experiences as much as the positive ones and turned the negative into the positive." Bergdorf continues, "I wish I could go back and say, 'I'm proud of you and thank you.' Even when some of the moments I navigated were difficult, and I wish there weren't as painful, they're all for something." In 2017, Bergdorf was named the face of a L'Oréal Paris' U.K. campaign, making history as the brand's first transgender model. However, she was fired shortly after when she wrote a Facebook post denouncing racism after a Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, left one person dead. According to NBC news, Bergdorf said in her post, which has since been taken down, that white people must "admit their race is the most violent and oppressive force of nature on Earth." L'Oréal Paris said in a statement at the time that they were terminating the brand's partnership with her because Bergdorf's comments were "at odds" with its mission to support "diversity and tolerance towards all people irrespective of their race, background, gender and religion." Then in 2020, the model called the company's Black Lives Matter Instagram post hypocritical and a form of "gaslighting." After Bergdorf called out L'Oreal Paris, the company announced they were forming a U.K. Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Board, which Bergdorf was appointed to."Munroe felt silenced by a brand, L'Oréal Paris, that had the power to amplify her voice," Delphine Viguier, president of L'Oreal Paris, said in a statement, via NBC news. "While we both agree today that negative labels should not be used to define all individuals in any group, I understand much better the pain and trauma that were behind Munroe's words back then and the urgency she felt to speak in defense of the Black community against systemic racism." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. With this documentary, the model is "hoping that fellow trans people feel seen." "I'm hoping that queer people feel galvanized and inspired to fight for their siblings," she adds. "I'm hoping that straight people see it and are enraged and understand the moment more. I'm hoping cis-gender people think a little bit about what they can do in order to provide safety, security, opportunity, for a community that desperately needs it. " Love & Rage will be available to stream on July 15. Read the original article on People
