Auburn baseball vs. Stetson: Score prediction, scouting report for NCAA Regional contest
AUBURN — Auburn baseball is two wins away from another NCAA Regional crown. The No. 4 overall seed in this year's NCAA Tournament, the Tigers handled 4-seed Central Connecticut State on Friday for a 9-5 victory, moving on to a matchup with 3-seed Stetson on Saturday. (8 p.m. CT, ESPN+)
Much like the Blue Devils, The Hatters proved to be a pesky out Friday, handling 2-seed North Carolina State for a 11-2 victory. They exploded for a seven-run first inning, and Stetson starter Jonathan Gonzalez pitched six shutout innings.

The Hatters proved Friday that beating them will be far from easy, and as Auburn's struggles on the mound continued in its victory over the Blue Devils, it'll need something different on the bump against Stetson.
With ace Sam Dutton likely getting the nod for the Tigers, they'll need a bounceback effort after a run of streaky starts. But Auburn also proved its lineup sets it apart against Central Connecticut State, out-hitting the Blue Devils when they seemed unstoppable.

If it can get enough from Dutton, its lineup should carry it to victory.
