Grammy-winning Cajun band to kick off Sheboygan's 10-date summer Levitt AMP Music Series
SHEBOYGAN – John Michael Kohler Arts Center has released the 10-date lineup for the 11th season of the Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series. The free weekly summer concert series kicks off June 26 with Grammy Award-winning Cajun band Lost Bayou Ramblers, who will headline the series' 100th concert since its start in 2015. The season continues throughout summer with a lineup spanning genres from Celtic to New Orleans-style brass and jazz to ranchera. Musicians will come from as far as France and Jamaica but also include regional acts. Nine of the concerts will be on Sheboygan's City Green, 710 New York Ave. The final concert Sept. 18 will be at the JMKAC Art Preserve, 3636 Lower Falls Road, as part of the JMKAC's Wayside Days event. Read more: Story behind vintage Sheboygan photo of well-dressed man on a dead horse remains a mystery Here's the full lineup for this summer's concert series: June 26: Lost Bayou Ramblers, Cajun/Creole, 7 p.m. July 3: Mason Via, bluegrass, 7 p.m. July 10: Melanie Charles, jazz/soul/R&B, 7 p.m. July 19: The Belle Weather, folk/Americana/classical, 11 a.m.; and Brass Queens, New Orleans brass, 2 p.m. July 20: Long Mama, Americana/country/folk, 11 a.m.; and Sunny War, blues/Americana/folk-punk, 2 p.m. July 24: Becca Stevens, folk/jazz/pop, 7 p.m. July 31: Doolin', Celtic folk-pop, 7 p.m. Aug. 7: Ammoye, reggae, 7 p.m. Aug. 14: Mireya Ramos and the Poor Choices, ranchera/country, 7 p.m. Sept. 18: Bizhiki, Indie rock/powwow, 7 p.m. at the Art Preserve Shows include performances by an opening band and the headliner. The on-stage action is accompanied by a variety of food trucks, a beverage tent, free art activities at the STUDIO Tent, and, often, the participation of Sheboygan-area community organizations. Food carry-ins are welcome, although no alcohol is allowed. All concerts are at 6 p.m. on Thursdays, with the exception of Saturday and Sunday, July 19 and 20, when performances happen in conjunction with the Midsummer Festival of the Arts. Levitt AMP, festivals & more: Where to find summer concerts in Sheboygan County in 2025
SHEBOYGAN COUNTY – Some music series began with the unofficial start of summer Memorial Day weekend, but countless live performances are still scheduled for the rest of the season. In addition to local bars and restaurants continuing to host live music, several communities have planned summer-long music series in the park, like the John Michael Kohler Arts Center's Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series and Sheboygan Falls' Summer Concert Series. Summer events, like Brat Days and Plymouth's Cheese Capital Festival, will also feature live music among festivities. The Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series returns to the City Green June 26 and will be hosted there for the majority of shows. The free music concert June 26 will kick off with Grammy Award-winning Cajun band Lost Bayou Ramblers. Paradigm Coffee & Music, 1202 N. Eighth St., hosts live music throughout the year, but upcoming shows include Chapped Lips and BRONCO May 30 and Melissa Ferrick June 20. The Osthoff Lake Deck will host live music evenings Thursdays through Sundays from May 22 to Aug. 31. The 2025 Summer Music Series will feature a variety of artists, like Rose Canyon Band, Matt & Sadie and the Abler Boys. Find the lineup at Siebkens Resort, 284 S. Lake St., will kick off its Summer Concert Series May 28 with Kylar Kuzio and Seth James. Other performers include Lillie, 7000Apart and Chasing Tales. The resort will also host live music during accompanying Road America events, like IndyCar weekend June 19-22. The Tiki Bar, 276 Victorian Village Drive, will host live music at the Shore Club Wisconsin Thursdays through Mondays until the third annual Elktober Fest Sept. 19 and 20. Musical acts include the Dave Steffen Band, Dirty Boogie and Mama Ginger and the Red Hots.
