NFL analyst says Steelers will start season 0-6 under QB Mason Rudolph

The NFL Schedule Release has come and gone — and with it, Steelers fans now know what important dates to look forward to in 2025. However, according to former NFL QB turned ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky, Mason Rudolph may lead the Steel City to a disappointing 0-6 start in 2025. Louis Riddick was asked whether or not the Steelers' supporting cast could help bail out Rudolph to start the 2025 season — and Orlovsky jumped in, shooting down any glimmer of hope for Pittsburgh: Advertisement "No. I think you're staring at 0-6 in the face." The first six opponents that Orlovsky is referencing, who would beat the Steelers to open the 2025 season, are the Jets, Seahawks, Patriots, Vikings, Browns, and Bengals. Out of these six, one could easily argue that the Vikings and Bengals pose the biggest threat to the Steelers — but even under Rudolph, beating Seattle, New York, Cleveland, and New England is absolutely plausible.
