Convenience store chain Circle K has a back-to-school deal that's good for your gas tank and wallet. Circle K, which has more than 4,000 stores in 22 states, is giving members of its Inner Circle loyalty program 40 cents off per gallon on Thursday, Aug. 21. The Inner Circle Fuel Day deal is good that day from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time. To get the Inner Circle Fuel Day deal, customers must enter the phone number associated with their Inner Circle account at the gas pump or inside the store at checkout before their transaction. Over the past 12 months, Circle K has had 40-cent price reduction Fuel Day promotions for Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Labor Day. As many as 45.1 million Americans are expected to travel domestically over the holiday weekend, according to AAA. That's 1.4 million more than a year ago. A 40-cent discount will make filling up a better bargain, especially with gas prices expected to be about $3 per gallon, the cheapest Memorial Day at the pump since 2021, but lowest inflation-adjusted price since 2003, on average across the U.S., according to gas station-finding app GasBuddy. (May 22, 2025) — Tampa drivers can expect a break at the pump today as Circle K rolls out its annual Fuel Day event, offering up to 40 cents off per gallon from 4 to 7 p.m. at participating locations. The one-day-only discount is available at 5,800 Circle K stations across the U.S., including numerous stores in the Tampa Bay area. The event is timed to help customers save on fuel ahead of the busy Memorial Day weekend. As part of the celebration, Circle K will donate 10% of profits earned during the three-hour promotion to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, a nonprofit that provides college scholarships and counseling to children who have lost a parent in military service.
