Exclusive: Sara Ali Khan teams up with Aanand L Rai for next film
Actor Sara Ali Khan is all set to collaborate with her 'Atrangi Re' director Aanand L Rai. The filmmaker is producing her next film under his banner Colour Yellow Productions. The much-anticipated project is set to present her in a very different close to the film exclusively told that Sara has already started work on the film in Mumbai. However, all details of the film are being kept under wraps. The team is prepping to finish the shoot soon, as they are eyeing a release sometime in 2026. While not much is known about Sara Ali Khan's character, the source assured that the film and her character will surprise all her this year, the 'Love Aaj Kal 2' actor shared a photo with the filmmaker on Instagram, raising speculations of them coming back together. The picture from New Delhi's Bangla Sahib Gurudwara had her wearing a simple pink traditional wear, as she leaned on Rai's shoulder. The filmmaker reposted the story on his account with the caption, 'Blessings satnam shri waheguru (sic)'. Apart from bankrolling Sara's next, Rai is also set to helm a film with the backdrop of the Indian Air Force. Shoot for the same is also underway in Mumbai, and will reportedly star some new Sara Ali Khan is all geared up for Anurag Basu's 'Metro In Dino' opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. Comedian and actor Jamie Lever continues to entertain her fans with her mimicry videos on social media. She has once again shared a video that has left fans in stitches. The video shows her mimicking Sara Ali Khan's viral dialogues from Love Aaj Kal 2 and a dance sequence from the film Sky Force. In the video, she mimics some of Sara's most viral lines from Love Aaj Kal 2, parodies her gym walk, and recreates her dance from Sky Force. Sharing the post, Jamie wrote, 'Kuch naya try kiya. A Reddit user shared the clip on the platform, and it quickly drew praise. One fan commented, 'Cast her in a movie, I'll go watch it. This is mood-changing hilarious.' For the unversed, Sara Ali Khan received criticism for her performance in Love Aaj Kal 2. Addressing the trolling in an interview with Film Companion, Sara admitted, 'I don't mind being trolled for being fat. I don't mind if you troll me for wearing a cap. But I am here to act. That is my job. That is my profession. That is serious. So, when I am trolled for that... it actually kind of hurts. It hit me.' She further explained, 'We were not allowed to see the monitor, so I had no idea what it was looking like. I've spoken to Imtiaz sir about this, and what also happened is the fact that I don't look good in that. When it comes to trolling for overacting, I'll be honest... not only was I acutely aware of what my character had to feel, but Imtiaz sir also made me feel exactly what Zoe had to feel at that point of time.' Jamie Lever, daughter of veteran comedian Johnny Lever, has appeared in several films including Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Housefull 4, Bhoot Police, and most recently Aa Okkati Adakku. Sara was last seen in Sky Force, which also featured Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, and Nimrat Kaur. She will next appear in Metro... In Dino, alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, and Ali Fazal. The film is scheduled for release in cinemas on 4 July.
