'A commentary on the last four years of my life': BABA on debut record, Truth
BABA's debut album, Truth, is a 'commentary on the last four years' of the artist's life. The 12-track, featuring production crafted by Enda Gallery who co-wrote the record, is a compelling autobiographical album that explores core themes of female empowerment, love, loss and hope. 'Basically, the album is really just a commentary, kind of on the last four years of my life,' Siobhán Lynch, aka BABA, told the Irish Mirror. 'We had a lot of miscarriages the last few years. I had the process of IVF. 'So there's two songs. There's one for my little boy that I lost in the second trimester of pregnancy. That's Apollo. 'And then very luckily, I had a little girl, so that's Love Like This. That's about her and then there's two songs in the middle which are Lost in Lisbon and Spicy Summer. 'Because the album was starting to sound a little sad, I really wanted to make sure that I kept elements of me in there. 'Spicy Summer is about my favorite thing, which is kissing and the summer time. So I wanted to make sure I kept that in there. And Lost in Lisbon is kind of a reflection on lost loves and things'. The record is loosely divided into four stages, each reflecting points in Siobhán's journey, with these parts connected by unique interludes. 'Sometimes I think when albums come out, although the songs are personal to the artist, you don't really see all of the background work or the personal touches. So that's why I wanted to put those little bits in. 'Two of them were voice notes. One of them, the one for Apollo, was one that I found on what should have been his second birthday, that I'd recorded. 'And I actually forgot about it, and Enda was like, 'Just go through them', and we nearly didn't put it on, because I just thought, 'Oh, is it too much?' 'It's important. It's very important. For me, talking about pregnancy loss, it's just a really important thing, because when I first started having miscarriages, there was no one to talk to about it. 'So I actually started my own podcast, just to chat through it. So some women had somewhere to go, or people had somewhere to go. Because no one was really talking about it, and it's really lonely.' While some tracks on the album took just 10 minutes to pen, Apollo took Siobhán nine months to write. 'Apollo took me nine months to write. Some of the songs took 10 minutes,' Siobhán shared. 'We actually started the song, writing the melody of the song before I lost him. 'And then I lost him in the January, and we went back through some of the melodies we'd been writing. I was like, 'Oh, this really sounds like something I could work with'. But just to get the words down on paper, it's very difficult.' BABA's debut album, Truth, is out now on all streaming platforms.

SS501 members reunite as Five O One
Group that led early days of K-pop returns for 20th anniversary world tour SS501, one of the K-pop groups that shaped the music scene in the early 2000s, is ready to return to the stage. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the group's debut, the band will embark on a world tour starting in Seoul in July. The project will feature three of the original members: Kim Hyun-joong, Heo Young-saeng and Kim Kyu-jong. Park Jung-min and Kim Hyung-jun will not be participating. The trio will promote under a new group name, Five O One, for the world tour. Having originally debuting as a five-member group in 2005, SS501 gained popularity in Korea and especially in Japan with hits like 'U R Man,' 'Snow Prince' and 'Love Like This.' The group went on an indefinite hiatus in July 2010, with each of them pursuing solo careers as singers and actors. However, they have consistently emphasized that the group was never officially disbanded, leaving the door open for a reunion. In a teaser video shared on the group's official YouTube channel, the sound of a heartbeat accompanies shadowy silhouettes of the returning members, culminating in the revelation of their new name: Five O One. Details about the world tour schedule and additional projects for the 20th anniversary will be released gradually through social media from the group's agency Henecia.

John Legend Steals Ari Camille Back from Team Adam on 'The Voice': 'Come Back Home'
After a short stint on Team Adam, Ari Camille has made her way home to Team Legend. On Monday, April 7, Adam Levine put Camille up against Britton Moore for the knockout round. Though Camille didn't win the round, she remains in the competition thanks to her original coach John Legend. For her knockout performance, Camille, 21, chose to sing a cover of Faith Evans' "Love Like This." Meanwhile, Moore, who's also 21, chose to cover "Free" by Zac Brown Band. The competition was stiff — and the Maroon 5 frontman, 46, made that clear. "You both did exactly what needed to be done, which is amazing for you guys and super crappy for me," Levine said, followed by a sigh. Why She Reminds Him of Blake Shelton (Exclusive) "Ari, you came out and almost started to get in your head and I kind of felt you squash all that. Like you have this intangible quality that is just so special about you," Levine said to Camille. He continued, "And Britton, you sing the living crap out of everything you sing. You're amazing. I'm feeling like everyone's gonna be alright. I don't know what I'm gonna do yet so please don't ask me, Carson." Host Carson Daly then added, "Adam, the stalling must stop. Who is the winner of this knockout?" After taking a second to think about it, the "Sunday Morning" singer said he was choosing the person who was "most ready to move forward right now." "The winner of this knockout is Britton," he said. Levine added in a one-on-one interview, "I went with my gut. Britton is so — he's just so good I couldn't let him go. Britton has a lot of amazing control in his voice. You wind him up and he goes. He can literally sing for the fences." Then, before she could get a word out, Legend hit his red button and said "Let's go," indicating a steal. "Ari looked really confident and cool and stylish. I really think she exudes superpower and since I have the chance to bring her back to Team Legend I was like, 'Let's go.' Come back home," the "All of Me" singer said. After the steal, Camille expressed gratitude for remaining in the competition — and said she was ready to "improve" and "blossom." The Voice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
