2nd annual Breakfast by the Bridge event raises awareness of youth homelessness
SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) — The Crittenton Center hosted their second annual event Friday to raise awareness of youth homelessness. 'Breakfast by the Bridge' is a free breakfast to go that educates attendees about the challenges that youth homeless face, and how to support possible solutions that provide stability and hope. Book Lovers' Book Sale kicks off at the Southern Hills Mall The event took place at the Hard Rocks hotel parking lot, and Crittenton center officials say they were determined to host it no matter what. 'If its nobody's problem its everybody's problem sort of thing you know they're kids you know young adults even they need our support and they need our help so that what were here to do' Said Lauren Miller with the Crittenton Center. Stray of the Day 4/25/25: Meet Boba!
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Meet today's Stray of the Day, Boba! This little cutie is a female, short-hair orange tabby kitten that's about 6-9 months old. She was found on the 2000 block of Everett Street. Book Lovers' Book Sale kicks off at the Southern Hills Mall Sioux City Animal Adoption & Rescue reports that she's a gentle cat with a ton of energy. She loves to run and play, so she'd love an active home with plenty of playmates. She's also just as sweet as a cup of bubble tea, hence her name!
