LDSS announces 16th annual Night of Champions and hiring expo
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society (LDSS) is excited to announce the 16th Annual Night of Champions & Hiring Expo, set for Thursday, May 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront Hotel. Cocktail hour and Hiring Expo begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner and an inspiring awards ceremony. The Night of Champions recognizes businesses that provide meaningful employment to differently-abled adults, including those with Down syndrome, and celebrates the impactful contributions of these employees in the workplace. The event also features a Hiring Expo, where companies with job opportunities for differently-abled individuals will connect with potential candidates. 'Night of Champions is more than an awards event—it's a celebration of inclusion, resilience, and opportunity,' said Joe Marchese, Immediate Past President of LDSS. 'Each year, we witness the transformative power of embracing individuals of all abilities in the workplace. This event not only recognizes the businesses leading the way but also encourages others to take part in creating a more inclusive community.'
