No. 12 seed Texas Tech (48-12) will play No. 5 seed Florida State in the Tallahassee Super Regional next weekend. Bailey Lindemuth hit an RBI double in the first inning and the Red Raiders never trailed. Lauren Allred's two-RBI single capped a three-run second. Lindemuth hit a double in the third and then scored when Demi Elder reached on a fielding error to make it 4-0. NiJaree Canady (28-5) allowed six runs, three earned, on eight hits over five innings and Chloe Riassetto pitched two no-hit innings to earn her third save of the season. Sierra Sacco hit an run-scoring double and Morgan Stiles followed with a two-RBI single the cut Mississippi State's deficit to 4-3 in the third. Teams with the best odds to win the Women's College World Series The start of the 2025 NCAA Softball Tournament is here, with the regional round starting across the country on Friday. The FSU Seminoles are the No. 5 overall seed in the tournament and are hosting the Tallahassee Regional for the 11th straight season. They are looking to make a return to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but will face some tough competition to make it happen. First, they will have the win their regional over the Auburn Tigers, USF Bulls, and Robert Morris Colonials. The double-elimination tournament will start on Friday and last until Sunday. The winner of that will then advance to the super regionals, where they will face the winner of the Lubbock Regional, which includes the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Washington Huskies, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and Brown Bears. The two winners will play a best-of-three series with the winner advancing to the WCWS and a shot at the national championship. Florida State won the tournament in 2018 and finished as the runner-up in 2021 and 2023. They will start their journey to Oklahoma City on Friday when they play Robert Morris in the second game of the Tallahassee Regional. Despite being the No. 5 seed, the Seminoles have the seventh-best odds to win the national championship.
