Teams with the best odds to win the Women's College World Series
The start of the 2025 NCAA Softball Tournament is here, with the regional round starting across the country on Friday. The FSU Seminoles are the No. 5 overall seed in the tournament and are hosting the Tallahassee Regional for the 11th straight season.
They are looking to make a return to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but will face some tough competition to make it happen. First, they will have the win their regional over the Auburn Tigers, USF Bulls, and Robert Morris Colonials. The double-elimination tournament will start on Friday and last until Sunday.
The winner of that will then advance to the super regionals, where they will face the winner of the Lubbock Regional, which includes the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Washington Huskies, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and Brown Bears. The two winners will play a best-of-three series with the winner advancing to the WCWS and a shot at the national championship.

Florida to Host Blue-Chip RB Who's Being Pursued by Rival Program

Florida to Host Blue-Chip RB Who's Being Pursued by Rival Program originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Florida continues its recruiting efforts by hosting 4-star running back Carsyn Baker for an unofficial visit this weekend. According to a report from Chad Simmons of On3, Baker is coming off recent official visits to both the Gators and their in-state rival, Florida State. The visit signals Florida's continued push to stay competitive in what has quickly become a tightly contested recruitment. Baker is one of the top-ranked running backs in his class, and both programs appear to be making him a priority. The Gators now have another opportunity to make an impression as they prepare to host him again, this time in a more informal setting. Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow scores a touchdown as Ohio State Buckeyes defensive back Donald Washington attempts a tackle in the BCS National Championship Game in Glendale, Arizona, on Jan. 8, Emmons-Imagn Images Baker recently made an official visit to Gainesville. His return for an unofficial stop shows continued interest in the Gators. He also visited Tallahassee, making it clear Florida State is still in the mix. Both programs are pushing hard to land him. The in-state rivalry now extends beyond the field. Advertisement Florida fans will view this as a positive sign that the coaching staff remains in close contact with Baker, giving them another opportunity to showcase what the program has to offer. According to On3, he remains uncommitted, and the coming weeks could be pivotal in determining where he lands. This weekend's visit may not be official, but it is crucial. It gives the Gators another opportunity to host Baker and reinforce their standing. 'Florida to host blue-chip RB who's being pursued by rival program' is the headline for good reason, with Florida State being the other program closely in the mix. The Gators will be hoping that this visit strengthens their case in a recruitment battle that could go down to the wire. Georgia Tech Football Preview 2025: A True Breakthrough Year for the Yellow Jackets

Georgia Tech was 2024 SMU before 2024 SMU was 2009 Yellow Jacket team won the ACC title and would've been in a 12-team College Football 2014 team came from out of nowhere, as it fought its way to the ACC title game, but lost to a powerhouse Florida State squad. Even with that, it would've been just on the cusp of the is a program that knows it's possible to win. And now, in his third full season, head coach Brent Key might be close to having one of those teams that, if it stays healthy, can catch the right wave at the right time and do something didn't happen last season. But to be fair, there were plenty of forgivable at Notre Dame? No shame there. Lose a tough fight at Syracuse and have problems at Louisville? That's the cost of doing business in a Power Four in eight overtimes at Georgia? Yeah, there's no dogging that. But the offense didn't get going in a loss to a mediocre Virginia Tech, and to close out with a bowl loss to Vanderbilt when things didn't quite work right … year, there's no Notre Dame. There's no Miami, or SMU, or Florida State, or Louisville. The ACC road games are Boston College, Duke, NC State, and Wake Forest. All of them are landmines, but that's about as reasonable as any big-school away slate can get. Star quarterback Haynes King is still around - it only seems like he started his career in the Bill Curry portal should fix a few problems - be stunned if there isn't more of a pass rush and a lot more of a downfield passing attack - there's more depth, more talent, the coaching staff knows what it's doing, and this should be a true breakthrough Tech Offense BreakdownGeorgia Tech Defense BreakdownSeason Prediction, Win Total, Keys to Season © 2025 The Arena Group Holdings, Inc. Notre Dame offers new players in the 2027 and 2028 class following Mondays camp

It is a big recruiting weekend for Notre Dame football, as they hosted multiple camps, but the excitement didn't stop as the week turned over. On Monday afternoon following another camp, the Irish sent out four news offers, to prospects across different classes. It's that time of year, when it's much easier to evaluate players when they are on campus, and it's clear that Notre Dame saw enough out of the quartet. Advertisement Find out below the newest players to earn Irish offers, along with a quick recap of how each of them stands with Notre Dame. (Note: All rankings are according to the 247Sports Composite.) Tight end Korz Loken The 6-foot, 5-inch and 220-pounder is one of the nation's best, ranking as the No. 125 overall prospect in the 2027 class. The Wisconsin native has had a good spring with offers from Auburn, Florida State and others, but it will be hard to hold off the in-state Badgers. Linebacker Mikahi Allen The 4-star New Jersey linebacker fits the mold of what Notre Dame is looking for at 6-foot, 2-inches and 215-pounds. He's ranked as the No. 245 overall prospect of the 2027 cycle, and has a solid offer list that included Michigan, Penn State, and Florida State. The Irish have had good success recruiting Allen's home state, and hope that that continues. Edge Darieon Prescott A very projectable frame at 6-foot, 6-inches and 220-pounds, Prescott is yet another player from Notre Dame neighboring state of Illinois to earn an offer. Many of them have found success in South Bend, and he could be another. Prescott does have an offer from Tennessee, but this one from the Irish should stand out at this early junction. He's not currently ranked in the 2028 class. Athlete Kameron McGee The 2028 athlete is one of the nation's best players, even though he's not ranked at the moment. With over 25 offers, the 6-foot, 3-inch and 234-pound McGee most likely will be able to go anywhere he desires. This recruitment will be tough, but the Irish had good luck with Illinois prospects. What it means Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman greets his players during a Notre Dame football spring practice at Irish Athletic Center on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in South Bend. It's pretty simple, you camp at Notre Dame, it significantly increases your chances for an offer. This system has worked well for the Irish, and it could play dividends with some of these most recent scholarships. Head coach Marcus Freeman has his hand in this as well, as he's been seen at many of these events. With 16 commitments in the 2026 class, it makes perfect sense to look ahead with these new offers.
