‘It makes you think' – Lucas Chevalier reveals Premier League temptation
Could Lucas Chevalier (23) be set for a move to the Premier League? The Lille OSC goalkeeper's recent comments suggest he is at least tempted by the idea. Chevalier was present at the UNFP end-of-season awards on Sunday. During the ceremony, he was named best goalkeeper in Ligue 1 for the 2024/25 season and was also included in the Ligue 1 team-of-the-year. This season, Lille are in the race to return to the UEFA Champions League and it is in this competition that the young shotstopper has particularly shone. His performances in the League Phase of the competition led to great clamour for him to be involved in the France set-up. He has since earned his first call-up from Didier Deschamps. Advertisement For several months, Chevalier has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain. However, a move to the Parc des Princes is looking less likely given Gianluigi Donnarumma's return to form. But that doesn't mean that a summer move away from Lille isn't off the cards entirely. Speaking at the UNFP awards, Chevalier hinted that he would be interested in a move abroad. 'The Premier League? It is the most attractive league. When you see Tottenham and Manchester United, who are struggling with crazy players [in their squads]… I have two years left on my contract, and you know the president (Olivier Létang) (laughs). I haven't had any contacts, but it makes you think,' said the goalkeeper in a conference, transcribed by Julien Froment. GFFN | Luke Entwistle

He succeeds Kylian Mbappe who won the prize five times in a row before departing for Real Madrid at the end of last season. Luis Enrique earned coach of the year honours at the UNFP (French players' union) Trophies gala, while Desire Doue took home the prize for the best young player in Ligue 1. Lille's Lucas Chevalier denied PSG a clean sweep of the accolades as he beat Gianluigi Donnarumma to the best goalkeeper award. PSG are on course for a treble after easing to an 11th Ligue 1 title in 13 years. They will play Inter Milan in the Champions League final on May 31, a week after facing Reims in the French Cup showpiece. — AFP

Brighton keeper Verbruggen seen as possible Milan replacement for Maignan
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Bart Verbruggen, Lucas Chevalier and Marco Carnesecchi are among the Milan targets to replace Mike Maignan in the summer, if the Frenchman refuses to extend his contract. Milan will be forced to sell Maignan in the summer if the French goalkeeper refuses to extend his deal beyond 2026. According to Gazzetta, the Frenchman's entourage and Milan had shaken hands on a new €5m-a-year deal plus add-ons, but recent unconvincing performances from the 29-year-old prompted the club to lower their offer to €4.5m per season. The Serie A giants expect a reply from Maignan's agents in the coming weeks. If the response is negative, they'll have to look for a replacement in the summer. According to the report, Lille's Lucas Chevalier, a former Maignan teammate at the French club, is among Milan's primary targets, even if the 23-year-old has a price tag between €30m and €40m. Brighton's asking price for their goalkeeper Verbruggen may be even higher, especially because Manchester United also wants the Dutchman. Last but not least is Atalanta's Carnesecchi, but, yet again, his potential purchase won't be cheap, meaning Milan must get the best possible deal if they sell Maignan this summer.

André Onana Complicates Man Utd's Ability to Edge PSG for €30M-Rated Impact Signing
André Onana Complicates Man Utd's Ability to Edge PSG for €30M-Rated Impact Signing Paris Saint-Germain are facing uncertainty in goal, with Gianluigi Donnarumma's future still undecided. If the club moves on from the 25-year-old, they'll have to find a replacement in the transfer market. Donnarumma is under contract until 2026, but past mistakes have raised concerns, prompting PSG to explore long-term alternatives. However, his strong performance against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 helped his case. Advertisement The club is focused on investing in young French talent, and this summer could be the right time to make a change. According to SportsZone, PSG are considering LOSC Lille's Lucas Chevalier as an option. Still, any move will likely depend on whether they can offload Donnarumma, who has yet to fully convince Luis Enrique. Could PSG be getting a transfer boost in the Lucas Chevalier race? The Sun reports that Manchester United are eyeing Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp or Lucas Chevalier from Lille as André Onana looks set for a move to Saudi Arabia. UnitedMuppetiers also reported that Manchester United are making a new goalkeeper a top priority with Onana's departure looking more likely. Advertisement However, Onana has other plans as ESPN's Rob Dawson reports that the shot-stopper plans to stay at Manchester United, even if he gets an offer from Saudi Arabia. The only way he'd consider leaving is if the club tells him he's not in their plans. Le Parisien previously reported that PSG are in a strong position to sign Chevalier despite heavy competition, largely thanks to sporting advisor Luis Campos. Campos was instrumental in helping the goalkeeper land his first professional contract at 16, and the two have stayed in touch ever since. Transfermarkt currently values Chevalier at €30 million.
