Ashton Jeanty has an injury scare after hard hit, but returns to game and scores TD

Ashton Jeanty had little production in a brief outing in his first NFL preseason game. Jeanty looked better in his second game, but also had a welcome to the NFL moment. Jeanty, who had 13 yards rushing on a pair of carries early in the Las Vegas Raiders' game Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers, caught a pass on his first drive, lowered his shoulder and got hit hard. Linebacker Luke Gifford gave Jeanty a hard hit, and although Jeanty got up quickly, he came out of the game and went to the medical tent to presumably have his shoulder lookd at. For those who have fantasy drafts coming up in the next couple weeks, seeing Jeanty suffer an injury was some alarming news. The good news was that Jeanty came out of the medical tent with his helmet and uniform on, and was back on the field on the next drive. And on his next drive he ran over a defender on a nice run. Jeanty looked fast and explosive. He also ran hard and initiated contact. He showed off his power on a touchdown run, keeping his legs moving at the goal line until he was in the end zone. That will be the first touchdown of many for him in a Raiders uniform. Jeanty was the sixth pick of the draft and one of the best running back prospects in many years. Seeing him go to the medical tent caused some skipped heartbeats, but he looked healthy. And for a few carries, looked every bit as good as advertised.

George Kittle Raves About Nebraska Alums on the 49ers roster

George Kittle Raves About Nebraska Alums on the 49ers roster originally appeared on Athlon Sports. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle may be a University of Iowa alum; however, that hasn't stopped him from giving major credit to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. During an appearance on the Bussin with the Boys Podcast , Kittle heaped high praise on the former Nebraska playerd whom he now shares a locker room. I have two Nebraska players on my team for the first time in a couple of years," Kittle said. "Luke Gifford, love that guy." He has also had some high praise for undrafted wide receiver and Husker standout Isaiah Neyor. "I watched him. He was running a route, and he got, like, nine and a half yards in two strides. I was like, 'Holy S__.' It was insane. We watched it like 10 times as a tight end room. We're like, 'How is he doing this?" Kittle said. He goes on to say that he believes that the Husker standout can possibly crack the 49ers rotation next season. "I mean, if you're that tall, just make plays and do well on special teams; at the bare minimum, he should make the practice squad," Kittle added. Kittle continued to heap high praise on Nebraska football. "Football is also better when Nebraska is good and it is," Kittle said. He went on to praise Memorial Stadium, stating it was "one of his favorite stadiums" he has played in. He added, "It is like an NFL stadium in college," Kittle said of Memorial Stadium. "That's why I like it. It's tall. It's a great stadium." Neyor, who transferred to Nebraska from Wyoming, spent five years in college. While he wasn't too productive, finishing his collegiate career with 87 catches. He has also caught 17 touchdown passes and averaged a whopping 18.3 yards per catch. Though he went undrafted, he has shown flashes of being a productive receiver and should carry on if he gets a shot in the NFL.
