'I travelled Venice to spot Jeff Bezos but found something much more exciting'
A woman has shared her experience of trying to find Jeff Bezos in Venice ahead of his upcoming wedding to Lauren Sanchez, and she ended up finding something "even more exciting" A woman on a quest to spot Jeff Bezos in Venice was gobsmacked when she stumbled upon what she believes to be another A-lister. The TikTok user, who goes by the handle QueenK, shared her wild encounter this week, leaving viewers astounded by her unexpected discovery. Venice has already seen guests flocking to the city for Amazon boss Jeff Bezos's lavish multimillion-pound wedding set to unfold this weekend. The tycoon is all set to wed Lauren Sanchez in the historic Italian city, with the pair gearing up for three days of extravagant festivities that are rumoured to be setting them back a hefty €48m (£41m). The high-profile event has sparked a celebrity-watching frenzy in Venice, with one woman making it her personal mission to catch a glimpse of Bezos himself. But, as fate would have it, her plans took an intriguing turn. In her pursuit, she believes she encountered someone equally famous. Captioning footage of her escapade, she penned: "When you're looking for Jeff Bezos in Venice but find Michael Jordan." In a humorous twist, after failing to locate the Amazon founder, she zooms in on a different spectacle and exclaims: "This is way more exciting. This is Michael Jordan's yacht. "Michael, come out. Oh my gosh, M'Brace, M'Brace." For those not in the know, basketball legend Michael Jordan is the proud owner of a colossal superyacht named M'Brace. The 224-foot behemoth, worth a staggering $115 million (£85.4 million), was crafted by Abeking & Rasmussen and previously bore the name Elandess, before being acquired by Jordan. Although the yacht was sighted, it remains unconfirmed whether Jordan is actually in Venice at present. Last month, an anecdote about an American family obliviously dining next to Jordan in a Venetian eatery captured viral attention. Yet, the video wasn't recent - it simply reignited conversation. During the encounter, the basketball legend engaged with the family, shared laughs and exchanged handshakes before departing. This week, reports surfaced that a convoy of extravagant superyachts had descended upon Venice for the wedding, with one reportedly owned by Jordan. His attendance at the nuptials, however, has yet to be verified. M'Brace was among the vessels spotted cruising Venice's waters as wedding preparations got underway. The ex-NBA star, whose fortune is estimated at $3.5 billion (£2.7 billion) acquired the 244-foot luxury craft a few years back. The yacht is said to boast amenities such as an observation deck, an al fresco bar, an outdoor shower and a swimming platform, as per reports. In proximity, Shahid Khan, a Pakistani-American tycoon valued at $13.1 billion and owner of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, moored his $360 million (£266 million) yacht, dubbed Kismet. Following the online circulation of the video, one spectator commented: "He's probably there for the wedding." Another inquired: "Where do they dock those yachts?" The location of the couple's nuptials has been kept a closely guarded secret but, according to Reuters news agency, their wedding party has been relocated from the city centre at the last minute. Originally, it was planned to be held at Scuola Grande della Misericordia, but a source informed Reuters that it will now occur at the Arsenale. The 14th-century complex is encircled by water and becomes inaccessible by land when the bridges are lifted. It's reported that guests have already begun arriving in the city.
