A horror movie with a whopping 95% Rotten Tomatoes score has been hailed as an 'underrated masterpiece'. Fans have raved over the film and even dubbed it 'pure cinematic gold', with many taking to the review site to leave their thoughts. One penned: 'Such an underrated masterpiece! Housebound is easily in my top 3 favourite movies of all time simply for it's originality, humour, and unpredictability. 'I wish I could go back in time and watch it for the first time again. Going from thinking it was a ghost story, to a home invader story, to a this crazy girl is seeing things story, then back again was an absolutely delicious unicorn that almost never happens with todays predicable garbage. Pure cinematic gold.' 'If you are in the mood for a suspense filled who done it with a splash of dark English humour then you came to the right place. That's about all I will say other than this. Enjoy.' While someone else wrote: 'This movie is the epitome of why i couldn't sleep alone in the dark or walk home alone at night as a kid.' 'Such a good film. Well made. New movies have lost their touch. I wish they make more movies exactly like this one. Great great great.' 'This is the reason I love independent horror of my favourites I've seen the past few years. Awesome!' But not everyone has been impressed and someone else said: 'Not sure why people thought it was so funny, or scary, didn't laugh much at was kind of ridiculous and more surprised I didn't turn it off.' It comes as another horror film, titled Longlegs, proved to be a hit with fans too. The movie was a shocking hit for Blumhouse and earned mostly positive reviews and grossed over $180 million at the worldwide box office on a meager $12 million budget. The sequel to the hit is once again helmed by the first's director Gerard Johnstone and is based on a screenplay co-written by him and 'M3GAN' screenwriter Akela Cooper. 'M3GAN 2.0' brings back Allison Williams' Gemma as the creator of the robot who is forced to reboot M3GAN (played again by Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) after a new robot named Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno) goes rogue and begins hunting down everyone involved with the creation of the original bot. 'I'll admit: There were some bugs in my programming,' M3GAN says to her creator in clips for the sequel. The trailer pitches the showdown as 'this b—h vs. that b—h.' ‘Drop' Review: Meghann Fahy's First-Date Disaster
Produced by horror impresario Jason Blum ('Get Out,' 'M3gan'), 'Drop' has a premise that promises some agreeably trashy thrills: Set in a luxe Chicago restaurant on a building's 38th floor, it follows single mother Violet (Meghann Fahy) as she juggles the anxiety of a first date with the demands of a diabolical schemer who keeps popping up on her phone and threatening to kill her son. The film presumably fancies this the setup for an audacious high-wire act. In its execution, though, it reminded me more of a pulled-over drunken driver, quite sure he is walking in a straight line when in fact he's a foot wide of the mark and on the verge of toppling into a ditch. The movie begins with an episode from Violet's past, depicting in lurid, shadowy style her husband stalking her through their home as she crawls beaten and bloodied across the floor. Fast forward to the present and we meet her as a widowed therapist, counseling an abused woman to know her worth. But Violet is still working on that herself, all nerves before her date with Henry (Brandon Sklenar), whom she has been talking to online for months but has yet to meet in person. Violet's sister, Jen (Violett Beane), picks out a red dress for her, promises to take care of her sweet young boy, Toby (Jacob Robinson), and sends her on her way.

From Thunderbolts to F1: All the new movie trailers unveiled during the Super Bowl
Sunday night's Super Bowl may have been dominated by talk of Kendrick Lamar's halftime show, but the much-hyped sporting event also saw the debut of several new movie trailers. Films including Tom Cruise thriller Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, comedy-horror sequel M3GAN 2.0, new Marvel blockbuster Thunderbolts* and Disney's live-action Lilo & Stitch remake were among the films to be previewed during the telecast. The Super Bowl itself, meanwhile, resulted in a one-sided victory by the Philadelphia Eagles over the Kansas City Chiefs. Taylor Swift, who attended the match to watch her partner, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in action, was booed by members of the crowd, while Lamar's half-time show was also disrupted by a protester who crashed the stage waving the flags of Palestine and Sudan. Here's a rundown of all the movie trailers to have debuted during this year's Super Bowl. F1 Brad Pitt stars as a retired racing pro yanked out of retirement to mentor a younger up-and-comer in this motoring drama directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick). How to Train Your Dragon This live-action adaptation of the hit children's fantasy series focuses on Hiccup, a young Viking (Mason Thames) who tames and befriends a dragon. Gerard Butler reprises his role as Hiccup's father Stoick the Vast, having previously voiced the character in the animated versions. Jurassic World Rebirth The seventh film in the Jurassic Park franchise, Rebirth is a soft reboot set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion (2022). Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey front the human cast, while the new trailer gives a look at some of the dinosaurs they're up against. Lilo & Stitch Another live-action remake – this time adapting Disney's 2002 sci-fi animation Lilo & Stitch. This new version stars child actor Maia Kealoha as Lilo, the young Hawaiian girl who meets and befriends an eccentric alien, voiced by animator Chris Sanders. M3gan 2.0 The original M3gan – a daft, camp comedy-horror about a killer robot that looks like a human child – was a resounding hit with audiences, and this sequel, which flips the script Terminator 2 -style and pits a now-good M3gan against another, more evil robot named Amelia. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt in this much-hyped sequel to 2022's Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Will it be Cruise's final outing as the death-defying spy? At the moment, it's anyone's guess. Smurfs This children's animation boasts an all-star cast, including Rihanna, Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, Dan Levy, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Sandra Oh, Kurt Russell, and John Goodman. Thunderbolts* This ensemble film, which takes place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, stars Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Olga Kurylenko and Wyatt Russell.
