Kismet Olfactive launches new fragrance collection exclusively at Stéle
New York-based independent fine fragrance studio Kismet Olfactive is set to launch its second collection, on June 20, exclusively at niche fragrance retailer, Stéle in Nolita. Dubbed "Common Ground", the six-piece collection explores the shared urban spaces that bring people together, with each scent capturing the essence of an iconic landmark in cities around the world. The collection includes MACBA, named after the iconic museum in Barcelona; Tompkins, which captures the raw, rebellious energy of New York's East Village and its legendary Tompkins Square Park; L.A. High, evoking a hazy Los Angeles daydream; République, a portrait of Paris's Place de la République; Embarcadero, inspired by San Francisco's waterfront; and, lastly, South Bank, a moody, poetic ode to London's Thames-side stretch. 'This collection is a love letter to the places that quietly shape who we are,' said founder and classically-trained perfumer, Shabnam Tavakol. 'Those shared city spaces where we gather, pause, pass through, or simply exist alongside one another. Each fragrance in the collection reflects not just a physical place, but the emotion and memory tied to it. I spent years refining these scents because I wanted them to feel lived-in.' Each fragrance in the collection retails for $135 and launches with a poetic, cinematic montage, extending the sensory experience into a visual world.

Miu Miu's Second Iteration of ‘Tales & Tellers' in New York, Envisaged by Miuccia Prada
The second iteration of 'Tales & Tellers,' envisaged by Miuccia Prada, will be presented to the public in New York on May 10 and 11 at the Terminal Warehouse at 261 Eleventh Avenue. Under the direction of Prada, 'Tales & Tellers' is an ever-evolving site-specific installation and performance, conceived once again by interdisciplinary artist Goshka Macuga and convened by Elvira Dyangani Ose, director of MACBA, Museu d' Art Contemporani de Barcelona. More from WWD Coco Gauff Partners With New Balance and Miu Miu for New Tennis-inspired Apparel Collection What's Behind the Prada Group 1.25 Billion-euro Deal to Buy Versace Miu Miu Literary Club to Discuss Girlhood, Sexuality, Love With Second Edition Situated at the intersection between fashion, cinema and art, the project is inspired by and features the film commissions that comprise Miu Miu Women's Tales, and the artistic interventions from Miu Miu runway shows between spring 2022 and spring 2025. Staged at the Terminal Warehouse, the project will be open to the public on May 10 and 11, with a private preview on May 9. The complete program and registration for 'Tales & Tellers' will be available at starting May 2. In October, Miu Miu unveiled 'Tales & Tellers' at the Palais d'Iéna, the headquarters of France's Economic, Social and Environmental Council. The project linked with Prada's fascination with the lives of women and her launch in 2011 of Miu Miu Women's Tales, allowing female filmmakers to present their own views of the plurality of femininity. Since 2021, female artists have collaborated on video and set installations for the Miu Miu runway shows, and these projects were represented in the new initiative. The project was influenced by Miu Miu's collaborations across filmmaking, art and fashion, and the project explored ever-transforming ideas of femininity. Directors of Miu Miu Women's Tales and artists who have created video work from the Miu Miu shows didn't speak specifically about their films, but rather their own lives and histories, the frames of their work, as reported.
