MATTER has unveiled its 3kW fast charger, capable of powering the MATTER AERA from 0 percent to 80 percent in just 90 minutes. Connected via the MATTERVerse App, riders can check charger locations, availability, and live charging status, making the experience seamless and convenient. Where Will Charging Hubs Appear? The rollout is ambitious and nationwide. MATTER Energy Charge Hubs will be installed across residential complexes, public parking areas, and commercial hubs. The company is also advocating for charging points at every two-wheeler parking space, offering on-demand installations at homes, workplaces, and public locations. How Are Riders Benefiting? Matter to introduce Aera electric bike in 8 more cities
Indian electric vehicle (EV) maker Matter is expanding its reach across India, with plans to launch its Aera electric motorbike in major cities in the next 45 days, following a successful debut in Bengaluru. Aera, known for its HyperShift geared technology, will be launched in Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Jaipur, Surat, and Rajkot. Pre-bookings are currently open on Matter's website and Flipkart, offering early bird incentives to attract initial customers. Aera, recognized as the world's first manufactured HyperShift geared electric motorbike, combines electric innovation with the experience of shifting gears. The upcoming city launches will include several features. These include Experience Hubs for exploring the Aera's features, real-time test rides, special early bird pricing and bundled benefits, and priority delivery for online pre-bookings. Key features -Aera is equipped with 4-speed manual transmission in an EV, paired with 3 ride modes for 12 dynamic riding experiences. -It features a liquid-cooled powertrain. This provides thermal efficiency optimized for hot and heavy traffic conditions. -The motorbike includes a 17.78 cm (7') Smart Touchscreen Smart Dashboard. This serves as a cockpit for navigation, music, ride data, and OTA updates. -An onboard charger allows users to plug in anywhere with a standard 5amp socket. It is equipped with a 5kWh High-Energy Battery. -The battery is IP67 rated, with a certified range up to 172 km IDC; Aera accelerates from 0–40 km/h in under 2.8 seconds. -Safety and comfort features include dual disc brakes with ABS, dual suspension, and smart park assist. The MATTER Verse App provides ride control, remote lock, live bike data, and geo-fencing. -A smart key enables keyless rides. The company claims savings of just 25 paise/km, amounting to over ₹1 lakh saved in 3 years of riding.
