Maura Higgins shows off incredible living room makeover at £1.25m Essex mansion with before and after snaps

Settling in to watch And Just Like That on her wall-mounted TV, Maura rested her bowl of food on a beige pouffe that also housed a diffuser and scented candle. The space includes matching sofas, a fluffy bean bag, throws and a black marble floor. Maura wrote on her Instagram account dedicated to the property: "I finally have sofas!!!!!! @rowenhomes I can not thank you enough for these beautiful Boucle Sofas…. "My first weekend cooking in my new home & having my first piece of furniture has made it so perfect and cosy." She added that all of the furniture had been gifted to her. Her followers were impressed with the stylish set up, with one commenting: "It's really looking like a lovely home. Well done Maura they're nothing like the feeling of owning your own home." Another said: "It's starting to look really cosy." A third wrote: "Wow! It looks gorgeous!" Maura has dubbed her five-bedroom detached home in a gated development, Casa A'Maura after the second villa on the show Love Island. The 34-year-old's new Instagram account has amassed over 70,000 followers and in her first post, Maura shared that she had finally moved into the new space. The light-filled kitchen opens up seamlessly into the back garden with the help of bi-folding glass patio doors. The large garden features both a patio and a lawn and is fenced all around with some guaranteed extra privacy guaranteed from the large bushes all around the properties. It has two reception rooms and five "generously-sized" double bedrooms with one as a master bedroom that features an en-suite and custom-built wardrobes. Maura Higgins looks incredible in latex for sizzling new shoot – as she reveals ‘PTSD' after Love Island
MAURA Higgins is almost completely unrecognisable in a stunning new photoshoot. Maura was transformed in this other-worldly shoot for Original Magazine, donning a series of eye-catching one-of-a-kind looks. 6 6 6 Donning latex and leather for some of the pics, the star channelled her vixen-side in a long, deep red wig for some pics, while in others she wore a sharp, stand out black bob. In another, Maura appeared to recreate a Grace Jones-style look in a full-body latex suit with a wide-brimmed black hat, which is tipped to the side and held in place by her hands, which boast long, razor-sharp pointed nails. Often staring down the camera to acclaimed photographer Ben Rankin, the high-end shoot comes after a brutally honest interview in which she admitted she struggled with her Love Island fame. First coming into the public eye alongside the likes of Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury in Love Island UK's series five back in 2019, Maura has become one of the defining faces of the entire franchise. Coming in fourth place alongside Curtis Pritchard, Maura has since gone on to star on I'm A Celebrity, and land a hosting gig on Love Island USA's Aftersun alongside main host Ariana Madix. But before she found her feet, Maura admits to the mag that she found herself flailing under the pressure, pushed to take on a string of jobs she wasn't happy with after being advised to "strike while the iron was hot". "When I first came off Love Island, I didn't know this industry very well. I took on way too much, and things that I didn't necessarily enjoy at the time," she told the mag. "There were moments after Love Island where I was so unhappy. I was crying a lot… when I look back, it actually gives me some PTSD. "I'm so, so, so fortunate now that I've got such an incredible team around me and we trust each other. That has changed everything for me." Irish Maura credited her famed confidence on her mum, who raised her alongside her three siblings – and said that I'm A Celebrity, which she appeared on last year, remains "one of the best things she's ever done". But she isn't afraid to acknowledge that part of her will always be tied to Love Island. While the star may have struggled to begin with, she is now known worldwide for both her collaborations with high-end fashion brands, photoshoots and reality TV appearances. But she says she's happy to help other islanders, especially Love Island USA stars, as they navigate their own path in fame. 'I get so excited to talk to these islanders about their experience. I always want to be that big sister and, you know, give advice and make them feel comfortable," she says. "I like to be there for them, because I have experienced it," Maura added.
