Numerous personal items and jewelry were stolen. No one was at home when the burglary occured. Police said the home is 'reportedly' owned by Marte. Maricopa County Assessor's Office records show Marte owns a home on the block near the investigation. Police say the investigation is ongoing. Marte hit a two-run double in the first inning of the NL's win, which was secured after a home run contest at the end of the game after the score was tied after nine innings. The burglary is the latest in a series of thefts from the homes of high-profile athletes across the country this year. Players have been targeted because of the high-end products believed to be in their homes and sometimes the thefts occur when they are away with their teams for road games. The FBI has warned sports leagues about crime organizations targeting professional athletes. The NFL and NBA have issued security alerts to athletes. Last week, the California home of WWE superstar couple Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch was burglarized as they were part of a live show in Providence, RI. A Seattle man was charged last month in connection with a string of burglaries at the homes of prominent active and retired professional athletes in the area.

Livvy Dunne Goes Sleeveless in Body-con Silvia Tcherassi Dress for 2025 MLB All-Star Red Carpet Show With Paul Skenes

Livvy Dunne opted for a body-con silhouette and sleeveless styling in Silvia Tcherassi for the 2025 MLB All-Star Red Carpet Show, which was held in Atlanta on Tuesday. Dunne arrived alongside partner Paul Skenes, who plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team. Dunne wore the Bogna Dress by Silvia Tcherassi. The dress, crafted from jersey fabric, featured a sleeveless cut with a high neckline and a vibrant navy blue tone. The fabric was gathered at her waist, featuring black buckle detailing. At the back of the dress, a cutout featured at the waist gave the entire aesthetic sensual appeal. Dunne's glam featured the former collegiate gymnast's blond tresses styled in an updo with wisps of hair to frame her face. Her makeup included such details as bold brows, lined eyes and a soft pink lip. The aesthetic is not dissimilar from Dunne's approach to style. Dunne's popularity and rise to prominence in gymnastics seamlessly transitioned to further partnerships at the intersection of sports and fashion. She has been collaborating with Sports Illustrated since 2023, and in 2025 was announced as one of the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue models, joining the likes of actress Salma Hayek, Olympian Jordan Chiles and more. Prior to her role as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue model, Dunne collaborated with Nautica and fronted the brand's fall campaign in August 2024. More recently, Dunne made public appearances at the 2025 Kentucky Derby last May, the Fanatics Fest After Party in June and more. Dunne rose to prominence as the youngest athlete in the U.S. to qualify as a junior international elite in 2014. An accomplished gymnast, Dunne earned a place on the USA National Team and was selected to represent the U.S. at The City of Jesolo Trophy in Italy, at which Dunne and her teammates won gold in the All-Around competition. She competed on Louisiana State University's gymnastics team and was named a WCGA All-American, WCGA Academic All-American and first-year SEC Academic Honor Roll Honoree during her freshman season. Will MLB Invite This Yankee to Join the HR Derby? He Would Say Yes

Will MLB Invite This Yankee to Join the HR Derby? He Would Say Yes originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Jazz Chisholm Jr. might have a busier All-Star weekend in Atlanta than he expected. He told reporters yesterday that he would be up for competing in the Home Run Derby, given that the league extends him the invitation. Advertisement 'I think I'd have some fun doing it,' said Chisholm, sitting on 15 home runs in only 59 games. 'I'd probably do it. They gotta ask me, though.' Should MLB consider Chisholm as one of their next top options? Their top priority is getting more eyeballs on these big All-Star events, and Chisholm would absolutely do that. His personality partnered with the Yankee logo up there on Derby Night would be plastered all over social media and be one of the stars of the show, if he has some success. New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr (13).Brad Penner-Imagn Images A lot of big names have already declined. Shohei Ohtani, Pete Alonso and Elly De La Cruz all need rest. Aaron Judge has said that he will not do another derby until it is held in Yankee Stadium again. So, where does MLB go? Advertisement Getting eyeballs on the product should be done through both established talent that fans already know, as well as fresh, new stars that can keep people's attention. For the three spots still left to be filled, my first call would be to Bryce Harper. The dude hit a 500-foot bomb in high school in the same kind of event. People know him, he is entertaining; it is such a no-brainer that MLB has probably already tried. I like to see players try to defend their crown. Maybe just as interesting are the people that were runner-up coming back the next year. Bobby Witt Jr. would be my next call. He might be known to baseball fans, but this is somebody that could reach people outside the baseball realm. Featuring the best talent from a midwestern city can bring in so many casual viewers across that whole region. I do not think there is another better option for MLB than Chisholm. There are bigger stars, but a lot of them have verbalized they do not want to participate. And even they do not have the smile that will pull people in that Chisholm does, nor the brand. I want to see his reaction to his own hot streak, or a round that he just went off. He makes you pay attention during games, who knows the kind of audience he would draw at an event like that one. Pirates' Paul Skenes drops ‘stupid' take on All-Star Game

The post Pirates' Paul Skenes drops 'stupid' take on All-Star Game appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Pittsburgh Pirates are not doing very well in the 2025 MLB regular season, but that doesn't mean they don't have must-watch talents. For one, they have one of the best hurlers in the game today in the form of Paul Skenes, who has as many seasons in the big leagues as MLB All-Star nods. Advertisement The former LSU Tigers star has been selected for his second MLB All-Star Game, which means there's a chance that he could also be starting for the second year in a row for the National League squad. With Clayton Kershaw getting the special commissioner's selection to get a spot in the 2025 MLB All-Star Game and Los Angeles Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts set to manage the contest, there's a good reason to believe that the three-time Cy Young winner could start for the NL. That being said, Skenes expressed his readiness and willingness to toe the rubber first if given the call. 'I think it would be stupid to say no to that. It's a pretty cool opportunity,' Skenes said about his potential to be asked to start (h/t David Schoenfield of ESPN). 'I didn't make plans over the All-Star break or anything. So, yeah, I'm super stoked.' Paul Skenes is the only representative of the Pirates at the All-Star Game, which he deserves. He has been a bright spot on an otherwise lethargic Pittsburgh squad that has won just 38 games and lost 53 through Sunday. Although he is only 4-7 in 19 starts, that record unfairly paints how incredible he has been on the mound for Pittsburgh. Advertisement On the season, he has a 1.94 ERA to go along with a 0.92WHIP and a total of 125 strikeouts. Run support has been hard to come by for Skenes, who is scheduled to have one more start before the break, which will be in the second game of a three-leg set on the road versus the Minnesota Twins this coming Saturday. In the 2024 All-Star Game, Skenes, the first overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft, started for the NL, allowing zero runs and issuing a walk with no strikeouts through 16 pitches in a 5-3 loss to the American League side.
