Virudhunagar Collector V.P. Jeyaseelan, Tenkasi MP Rani Srikumar and Rajapalayam MLA S. Thangapandian distributed the two-wheelers to the beneficiaries. The Collector said the retrofitted two-wheelers would give mobility freedom to the differently abled persons who had to go to various places for their work. Along with the funds given by the State government, the district administration had mobilised funds from the MP Local Area Development Fund and also through Corporate Social Responsibility funds of private establishments for distributing the two-wheelers to all those who applied for them. Virudhunagar district had distributed the highest number of two-wheelers to the differently abled people, he said. District Differently Abled Welfare Officer Srinivasan was present.
