Al-Futtaim Logistics expands into Saudi Arabia, Oman amid Middle East aerospace boom

Al-Futtaim Logistics announced major regional expansion plans, with Saudi Arabia and Oman as the next destinations. The company said it has established its presence in Saudi Arabia, and Oman will follow in Q2 of 2025. The expansions follow in the wake of surging demand for advanced logistics solutions in the region, amidst the Middle East strengthening its position as a global aerospace hub, the company said. Dr. Raman Kumar, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Logistics, said the expansion into Saudi Arabia and Oman marks a significant milestone for the company's regional growth. 'The aerospace industry operates in a time-sensitive environment where every minute counts, and our tailored logistics solutions are designed to minimise downtime and ensure seamless operations. 'With our extensive regional expertise and global reach, strong regulatory compliance, and commitment to innovation and artificial intelligence technology, we are ready to meet the dynamic needs of the aviation sector in these growing markets,' he said. The expansion announcement follows Al-Futtaim Logistics' successful participation at the MRO Middle East event, where the company showcased its aerospace logistics solutions to the aviation industry. Additionally, it also hosted an exclusive 'Aerospace Customer Meet' on the sidelines of the event, further reinforcing its commitment to supporting the region's aviation sector. Al-Futtaim's aerospace logistics division provides tailored solutions for a broad spectrum of clients, including airlines, Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operators, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), private jet operators and airports services. With the region's aerospace market growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.4 per cent, and the GCC's aircraft MRO services market set to expand by 14.5 per cent in the next five years, fleet growth and rising demand for wide-body aircraft maintenance are driving the need for enhanced logistics. The rising number of new aircraft deliveries in the region is expected to go over 1,000 by 2029-30, highlighting the urgency for enhanced aerospace logistics services in the region, especially in Saudi Arabia, the company said.
