MS Bhaskar's upcoming film with Prankster Rahul titled Grandfather; makers reveal first look

MS Bhaskar who is known for his roles in dramatic or comedic stature took on a role with a more negative shade in Parking. For his performance in the film, he won the National Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Meanwhile, Ramkumar Balakrishnan, the writer and director for Parking, won the National Award for Best Screenplay (Originial) and Best Film in Tamil. MS Bhaskar was recently seen in films like Tourist Family, Paramasivan Fathima, and Sabdham.

71st National Film Awards South winners list: In a first in his film career spanning 33 years, Bollywood's Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has bagged the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in director Atlee Kumar's Jawan. At the 71st National Film Awards, honouring movies released in 2023, he, along with 12th Fail's Vikrant Massey, was named best actor, while Rani Mukerji bagged the award for Best Actress for her performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 12th Fail also won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film, while Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was named the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Interestingly, the southern film industries also won big this time, clinching trophies in several major categories. While awards for both the Best Actor and Actress in a Supporting Role were divided among two thespians each, the Malayalam industry marked its presence felt in both categories. While Malayalam's Vijayaraghavan and Tamil's MS Bhaskar bagged the awards for best supporting actor for their performances in Pookkaalam and Parking, respectively, the Malayalam film Ullozhukku's Urvashi and the Gujarati movie Vash's Janki Bodiwala were named best supporting actresses. GV Prakash Kumar CHENNAI: Tamil cinema scored big at the 71st National Film Awards announced on Friday, with composer GV Prakash Kumar bagging the best music director award for Vaathi, starring Dhanush. This marks his second national award for music after Soorarai Pottru. Harish Kalyan–MS Bhaskar starrer Parking emerged as one of the biggest winners, clinching the best Tamil film award for 2023. Veteran actor MS Bhaskar won best supporting actor award for his performance in the film, while writer-director Ramkumar Balakrishnan bagged award for the best screenplay for the same. The awards, announced by the information and broadcasting ministry, honour films and performances across India that were released in 2023. MS Bhaskar's next film from Prankster Rahul goes on floors

Actor MS Bhaskar is all set to headline YouTuber Prankstar Rahul's directorial debut. Produced by Kutti Stories Pictures, the film went on floors on Wednesday with a pooja ceremony. The yet-to-be-titled films is the first film to be produced by Kutti Story Pictures. The actor is known for his character roles in films like Parking, Uttama Villain, and most recently in Tourist Family alongside M Sasikumar and Simran.
