95.11% appear for mega DSC (Non Language) exam
Vijayawada: As part of the Mega DSC process, 38,243 candidates had applied for the School Assistant (Non-Language) Social Studies examination conducted on Monday across the state. Of them, 36,372 candidates appeared, marking an attendance rate of 95.11 per cent, according to a statement by Mega DSC–2025 Convener M V Krishna Reddy. The exam was conducted in 227 centres. Among them, Anantapur district recorded the highest attendance in the morning session with 97.84 per cent, while Chittoor district saw the highest attendance in the afternoon session with 97.98 per cent. The preliminary key for School Assistant (Languages) exams in minor media languages, Kannada, Odiya, Tamil, and Urdu, will be available from Tuesday on the website under the candidates' login, along with the response sheets. Candidates are advised to raise any objections to the preliminary key with valid supporting documents only through the website by June 23, said Krishna Reddy.

DSC exams scheduled for June 20, 21 postponed
Visakhapatnam: The dates of the DSC (teacher recruitment) examinations, originally scheduled for June 20 and 21, have been revised to July 1 and 2. The change has been made in view of the International Yoga Day event being organised on a grand scale in Visakhapatnam on June 21, with prime minister as the chief guest. "The updated hall tickets, reflecting the new examination dates and centres, will be made available on the official AP mega DSC–2025 website: from June 25," said Krishna Reddy. Meanwhile, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will hold a high-level review meeting on preparations for the International Yoga Day event on Monday in Visakhapatnam. According to officials, the event will be held along the 26.5-km beach stretch from RK beach to Bheemili. In case of rain, the venue will be shifted to Andhra University engineering college grounds, where the authorities have covered the entire ground with pandals. The govt has been preparing to perform yoga with around five lakh people on that particular day on the entire beach stretch. On the event day, around 127 compartments measuring 200x14 meters will be equipped with water, medical support, and volunteers. There will be small stages on the beach stretch and various schools and colleges with sound systems and LED screens.

Changes announced in DSC exam dates
Vijayawada: The State government has decided to celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21 in a grand and prestigious manner. In view of this, the dates of the DSC exams that were scheduled to be held on June 20 and 21 have been revised, announced Mega DSC–2025 Convenor M V Krishna Reddy in a statement on Saturday. He stated that the change has been made to avoid any inconvenience to candidates who would otherwise face travel disruptions during the Yoga Day celebrations. The revised dates for these candidates are July 1 and 2. The updated hall tickets reflecting the new exam dates and centres will be made available on the AP MEGA DSC–2025 official website: from June 25, 2025. Candidates are requested to take note of the changes, download the revised hall tickets and attend the examinations as per the new schedule, urged M V Krishna Reddy, Convenor, Mega DSC–2025.

Over 20k attend Mega DSC-2025 exam on Day 1
VIJAYAWADA: A total of 14,281 candidates (88.69% of the 16,102 registered aspirants) appeared in the morning session of the Mega DSC 2025 held across 91 centres on Friday. A total of 7,611 candidates (86.7% of the total registered) attended the examination, conducted at 51 centres in the afternoon session. The computer-based examination process to fill 16,347 teacher posts commenced smoothly and witnessed an encouraging response from aspiring teachers. The exams will continue till June 30. Subjects covered in the morning session included TGT (Non-Language) Mathematics (English Medium), TGT-Hindi-VH, TGT-Physical Science-HH, TGT-Physical Science-VH, and TGT (Language) Telugu-HH. The afternoon session was conducted for TGT (NL) Mathematics (English Medium) and TGT Mathematics-HH papers. Kadapa records highest DSC attendance HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, in a message on X, described the moment as a proud one and conveyed his best wishes to the candidates, calling them the 'Teachers of tomorrow.' Mega DSC Convenor MV Krishna Reddy said Kadapa district reported the highest attendance with 91.1% in the morning and 92% in the afternoon session. Authorities ensured elaborate arrangements at all examination centres. Candidates were allowed to enter exam centres an hour before the test began, and entry was strictly closed post 9:00 am. District Collectors, DEOs, and state-level observers monitored the entire process through command control rooms set up at district headquarters and the state level. Officials confirmed that the first day of the examination concluded peacefully and without incident.
