TDM Diver Who Died During Training Laid To Rest In Semporna
KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 (Bernama) -The remains of Corporal Mohd Haswansir Julnasir, a member of the Maaysian Army (TDM) who died during a diving exercise off the coast of Kuantan, Pahang, were laid to rest at the Kampung Gusung Melanta Tesi Cemetery, Pulau Bum Bum, Semporna, Sabah, at 2.30 am today.
In a statement, TDM said the 30-year-old's body was first sent to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) in Pahang for a post-mortem before being flown to his hometown aboard a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) C-130 aircraft from Kuantan Air Base to Tawau at 7.30 pm yesterday.
'TDM will establish a Board of Inquiry to determine the exact cause of the incident. We urge the public to refrain from making any speculation and to respect the family's privacy during this difficult time.
