International honour for NUSRL ‘Clap'
Ranchi: The Centre for Legal Aid Programme (Clap) at the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) secured second place in the international MacJannet Prize for Global Citizenship 2025, it announced on Monday.
This award, presented by the Talloires Network of Engaged Universities in partnership with the MacJannet Foundation, includes a grant of $7,500 in recognition of Clap's impactful work in advancing access to justice and community engagement.
Clap's selection places NUSRL among an elite group of global institutions committed to civic engagement and social responsibility. It becomes only the second national law university in India to receive this honour, following NLSIU, Bengaluru in 2014. Ashok R. Patil, lauded the achievement, stating, "This award is a powerful recognition of CLAP's unwavering commitment to develop socially conscious professionals.
