Machine Gun Kelly opens up about his water fast that lasted four days

Machine Gun Kelly recounted his experience with water fasts, including a four-day fast during the Los Angeles wildfires, where he felt 'delirious' and had to evacuate his home. He revealed that he often skips meals, sometimes eating only a couple of times a week, and consumes bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut for probiotics. Kelly noted that water fasts can eliminate beneficial gut bacteria, which is why he cooks bone broth as a source for probiotics. He also mentioned his beverage choices include water, coffee, celery juice, and coconut water. The singer addressed public speculation about his relationship with Megan Fox after leaving rehab, stating that neither of them commented on the rumors.

Machine Gun Kelly admits he pushed himself into a 'delirious state' doing a water fast for FOUR DAYS

Machine Gun Kelly revealed he once pushed himself into a 'delirious state' when he did a water fast for four days. The 35-year-old rapper sparked fan concern when he opened up about his diet and said he would go on multi-day fasts, abstaining from all food and any drinks besides water only. He recalled going on one particular fast after getting out of rehab earlier this year while making an appearance on Friday's episode of the New York Times's Popcast podcast. He previously revealed he went to rehab, where he had been from late November 2024 to early January, following his split last year from his ex-fiancée Megan Fox. 'I came out, the world was very loud about me and my personal business,' he told hosts Jon Caramonica and Joe Coscarelli about learning that his breakup had made headlines. While 'trying to get right,' he said he decided to reset by fasting. It has been claimed that the 6ft4in star weights 180lbs after coming down from 212lbs. 'I get home, and I'm like, "I'm gonna try a water fast,"' he recalled on the podcast while talking about how the Los Angeles wildfires. He said the wildfires started 'pretty close' to his Malibu house, where he recorded music in his home studio, when he was on day three of his water fast. 'I was like, "I'm just gonna push it and go for four days of this water fast,' he continued. The Grammy nominee, born Colson Baker and also known as MGK, said he decided to 'push it' even when his body was 'already going through it' at that point. He said he was 'pushing myself to kind of a delirious state' by then. 'On the fourth day, Michael B. Jordan, who is my neighbor, [and I were] looking and the fires are right there.' Then, he recalled getting ready to evacuate and grabbing several items — sentimental letters as well as 'a Banksy piece and a Picasso piece.' His comments comes amid fan concern after saying he 'does not really eat.' He explained: 'I'll drink celery juice sometimes, yeah. Coconut water.' He said his diet consists of coffee and cigarettes as well as kimchi, sauerkraut and bone broth for 'probiotics.' 'When you do those water fasts, the only thing that's crazy is it kills all the good bacteria in you, too, so you gotta put the probiotics,' he said. He admitted that he 'sometimes' feels 'weak or lightheaded,' and in response, fans expressed concern for what many labeled as an eating disorder. The musician, who dropped his new album Lost Americana on Friday, also said he once had a '50-hour migraine' during a recent TV interview with ESPN's Pat McAfee. McAfee asked MGK: 'So how's that happening? Is that because you're water fasting and don't eat food, you think?'

Listen: MGK releases new album, 'Vampire Diaries' music video

Aug. 8 (UPI) -- MGK, formerly Machine Gun Kelly, released his new album and a music video Friday. "Vampire Diaries" is the fifth song on the album, titled Lost Americana. In the music video, MGK appears shirtless in a museum, as an apparent exhibit known as "Rekab Nosloc Vampire" from 13 B.C. "Rekab Nosloc" spells out his given name, Colson Baker, but backwards. He dances and sings in the facility about longing for a different life than the one he's known. "Take me out, there's so much I haven't seen. Don't let me rot inside this town," he sings. His choreographer, Sean Bankhead, commented on an Instagram post promoting the video. "You learned this in two days and shot this on Tuesday. Hella proud fam," he said. MGK previously performed "Vampire Diaries," along with "Outlaw Overture," on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. "Something's going on in the stars where, like, good things keep happening," MGK said at the time. His album also includes the songs: Cliche," "Miss Sunshine," "Don't Wait Run Fast," "Goddamn," "Sweet Coraline," "Indigo," "Starman," Tell Me What's Up," "Can't Stay Here," "Treading Water" and "Orpheus." MGK said the album is dedicated to their "honorary member" Dingo. "It's the last piece of music he heard from us before he passed and he's been an honorary member of our band since day 1," he wrote. "Tonight's release isn't the same without a legendary christening from him but his spirit is all over the project. Get in your car this weekend, start driving and press play; it's time for Lost Americana." Solve the daily Crossword

Machine Gun Kelly Seemingly Admits to Causing Broken ‘Home' With Megan Fox, Vows to ‘Change' for Daughter

Machine Gun Kelly appears to be opening up about his 'complicated relationship' with Megan Fox in a new song. In 'Treading Water' off of Lost Americana, which dropped August 8, the 'cliché' singer, 35, (real name: Colson Baker) begins the track by reflecting about being told by someone — seemingly Fox, 39 — not to 'write a song for me.'' However, he does not heed that request. Noting he ruined 'the holiday,' MGK sings in the second verse, 'I loved you truly / that's why it's hard to let it go / I broke this home, but I'll change for our daughter, so she's not alone.' MGK also touched on 'spending Christmas in rehabilitation,' in 'Room Three' while being 'fixated on the gossip that I know is happening' while seeking treatment with no access to a phone. 'It's a complicated relationship, that's nobody's business,' he continues, adding: 'Just keep our baby out this situation.' In December, TMZ reported that Fox and MGK had called it quits just weeks after the Jennifer's Body star revealed she was expecting a child with the musician. According to Page Six, Fox broke up with MGK after she found 'text messages involving other women,' with the insider telling the outlet: 'When they went away for the Thanksgiving holiday, she became suspicious and decided to go through his phone.' The pair welcomed their daughter, Saga Blade, in March. As Star previously reported, MGK marked the occasion with a tribute to their daughter, thanking Fox for 'the ultimate gift.' It seems MGK — who is also dad to daughter Casie, 15, from a previous relationship — and Fox — who shares Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green — are on better terms: In July, they were spotted heading for a family getaway with their daughter.
