Investigation underway after pedestrian struck on Macleod Trail in south Calgary
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday night on Macleod Trail. An investigation is underway after a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian Friday night on Macleod Trail. Police responded to reports of a collision in the northbound lanes of Macleod Trail around 162 Street S.W. around 9:45 p.m. No injury details were made available. Police say all lanes of traffic were open Saturday.

Speed, alcohol suspected in southwest Calgary crash
Police say several parked vehicles were struck after a driver lost control on Macleod Trail near 58 Avenue S.W. on Aug. 8, 2025. Police are investigating after a driver lost control on Macleod Trail and hit several parked vehicles on Friday. Officials say police were called to the southbound lanes of Macleod Trail near 58 Avenue S.W. at about 2:30 a.m. for a multi-vehicle crash. On arrival, they found the driver of a vehicle lost control while turning and hit several parked cars. The investigation is still underway, but police believe the driver may have been impaired and speeding at the time of the crash. Police are working to notify the owners of the vehicles affected. Anyone who believes their vehicle was damaged in the crash is asked to call the CPS non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.
