KOTA MARUDU: The Madani Entrepreneur Seminar: Social Enterprise (Sum:SE) has been highlighted as an important platform to expose entrepreneurs to the potential of social entrepreneurship in driving community development, particularly in Sabah. Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Kamal Adli Abd Halim said a total of 516 entrepreneurs have benefited from the implementation of six seminars held across the state so far. He noted that providing support, training, and guidance to rural entrepreneurs in areas such as Kota Marudu, Pitas, and Beluran could create significant impact on the local economy and community wellbeing. Kamal added that Sabah has strong potential to nurture social entrepreneurs who can create job opportunities for marginalised groups, improve community livelihoods, and apply sustainable practices such as recycling. The seminar, organised by the National Institute of Entrepreneurship (Insken) and attended by over 100 entrepreneurs from northern districts, also featured collaboration with local organisations including Scenic, Sosea, Sata, and the DIDR. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
