He was 47. His family includes his children and wife living in Chennai. Vikram Sugumaran obituary has been working on a new film named Therum Porum. In a recent interaction with the media the filmmaker admitted that he was betrayed by certain people within the industry. But he decided not to mention anyone, noting that he had no evidence to back his assertions. Tamil filmmaker Vikram Sugumaran dies at 47 following heart attack

Tamil director Vikram Sugumaran has passed away following a cardiac arrest on Monday; he was 47 years old. According to reports, the filmmaker was travelling from Madurai to Chennai by bus when he suffered a heart attack. Though he was taken to the hospital, doctors were unable to resuscitate him. Many of his colleagues from the Tamil film industry took to social media to pay their last respects. Actor Shanthnu Bhagyaraj shared a series of pictures with Vikram and wrote on X (formerly Twitter), '#Rip dearest brother @VikramSugumara3 I've learnt so much from you & will always cherish every moment.
