About Vikram Sugumaran
Vikram Sugumaran began his film career as an assistant director to legendary filmmaker Balu Mahendra. He made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Madha Yaanai Kootam (2013), a raw, gritty rural drama that received widespread praise for its powerful social commentary.
After stepping away from the limelight for a few years, he returned with 2023's Raavana Kottam, which featured Shanthnu, Anandhi, Prabhu, and Ilavarasu. Despite the anticipation surrounding his comeback, the film failed to perform well at the box office.
