Gokul Suresh snubs paparazzi over brother Madhav's film role: 'I know you twist headlines'

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Actor Gokul Suresh recently made headlines for firmly refusing to answer questions about his brother Madhav Suresh 's performance in the film 'Janaki V vs State of Kerala'. Gokul, who accompanied his father Suresh Gopi to watch the movie, was approached by a group of YouTubers posing questions outside the theatre. In a sharp response, Gokul said, "I choose not to respond to paparazzi. Whatever I say gets misrepresented, passed around, and turned into multiple headlines. I'm well aware of how this game is played." Janaki V vs State Of Kerala - Official Trailer His remarks were captured on video and later shared by the same YouTubers — a move that quickly sparked widespread online discussion. Many viewers applauded Gokul for taking a strong stand against what they called the 'sensationalism culture' rampant in digital celebrity coverage. Several social media users praised his composure and transparency, noting that many YouTube paparazzi-style channels often manipulate short clips to generate clickable content. One netizen commented, "What Gokul said is correct." Another comment read, "That's an apt response." A third comment read, "Great job Gokul." Meanwhile, Gokul's brother Madhav Suresh had earlier opened up about similar challenges. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Her blood cancer has relapsed; she needs another transplant Donate For Health Donate Now Undo The actor cited cyberattacks and the stress of misleading headlines. 'JSK' out in theatres Madhav plays a key supporting role in Janaki V vs State of Kerala, a courtroom drama that has generated significant buzz for its strong performances and layered social themes. ETimes gave the movie a rating of 2.5 stars for the film and an excerpt from our review reads, "The film does suffer from its length and a muddled screenplay. A tighter, crisper edit would have served it better. While Suresh Gopi's monologues are familiar to Malayali audiences, they could have been trimmed without taking anything away from the film. Towards the climax, the lengthy dialogues become long-winded and, frankly, grating so close to the resolution. Some awkward English dialogues also stand out. That Pravin resists opting for a 'socially acceptable' ending, however, makes the film watchable."

Madhav Suresh reveals why he and father Suresh Gopi face so much ‘hate, trolling': ‘A lot of people don't like that he is a…'

The latest 'nepo kid' on the block, Madhav Suresh, son of renowned actor Suresh Gopi, recently addressed the relentless trolling and criticism that both he and his father face online. Madhav attributed the same to his father's political affiliation with the BJP. The youngster, nonetheless, stated that his father is not a loudmouth and never makes public statements without doing due research. 'A lot of people here don't like that my father is a BJP minister (Suresh Gopi currently serves as the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas as well as Tourism, after winning from the Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency). That's the most hate I get. My father is very opinionated and does his research before presenting his views. He stands by them, even if he gets trolled. That's because he has the spine for it. And those who hate him may not. I'm focused on what I'm learning and doing. I don't care about trolls or negativity,' Madhav said during a chat with a YouTube channel. Following in the footsteps of his father and elder brother, Gokul Suresh, Madhav Suresh made his film debut playing a key role in Kummattikali (2024). However, both the film and his performance were widely panned. Nevertheless, he soon landed another opportunity and got to play a significant role in the courtroom drama Janaki v/s State of Kerala (JSK), which features his father in the lead role. Embroiled in a controversy over its title and the name of the titular character, JSK is awaiting a release date. During the same interview, Madhav Suresh also shared that he recently bought a car on loan without any financial help from his father. He said, 'People asked if my father or I bought the car. It would've been better if it were my own money, they said. Well, it was. I took a loan. I have to work and repay it. What my father has saved is for his retirement or my sisters' weddings. If I fail, that's a fallback-but I want to build myself.' Since his first public appearance, Madhav Suresh has often faced backlash and trolling for his remarks and their tone, which many perceive as arrogant and entitled.
