Madi's Hope Foundation holding event in June
LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A local organization that strives to spread generosity is holding an annual event next month.
Madi's Hope Foundation was created in memory of Madi Moore who passed away after battling cancer. Tera Orman is Madi's mother and the owner of the Linton Beauty College. She said the foundation creates personalized backpacks from donations of funds for children who are sick. The goal is to inspire hope.
'Hopefully we'll be able to raise a lot of money this year to help several kids in our community and abroad that are battling sickness and we'll be able to help ease their burdens,' said Orman.
Madi's Day of Hope helps bring awareness to the foundation. The event takes place June 7 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Humphreys Park in Linton. This year's event is carnival-themed and will feature vendors, live music, games and a fundraiser for the foundation. Entrance is free.
