PM Extends Assistance To Struggling Single Mother Of Six
KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- The story of Madiah Awang, a single mother who has been struggling to raise six children on an income of just RM900 a month working as a school and factory canteen cook in Kuantan, Pahang, captured the attention and prompted Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to offer an assistance.
The aid was delivered by the Prime Minister's Political Secretary, Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, during a Ziarah MADANI outreach visit to Kampung Tebing Tinggi, Balok, in Kuantan today.
'Despite living in a house with a cracked kitchen and a rotting front floor, she still greeted us with a smile and even asked that we prioritise those who are worse off than her.
