Woman killed in car crash in St. Tammany Parish
ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A woman was killed in a car crash on Monday, June 2 in St. Tammany Parish.
According to the Louisiana State Police, 20-year-old Madison Boone of Mandeville was traveling westbound on Highway 36 in a 2004 Buick LeSabre while a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling eastbound. The Hyundai reportedly crossed the centerline and struck the Buick head-on.
Boone, who was unrestrained, suffered serious injuries. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.
The driver of the Hyundai was transported to a local hospital as well. They were issued a citation for driving on the right side of the road.
