KUALA LUMPUR - Having achieved fame and remained in the spotlight alongside some of the biggest names in the local entertainment industry for over two decades, actress and singer Diana Danielle is constantly seeking to improve herself.
In fact, early last year, the 34-year-old mother of two took a bold step forward by pursuing a Diploma in Business Management at INTI International College.
For the 'Magika' fantasy film heroine, the decision to continue her studies was not due to pressure from anyone, but rather came from the awareness that learning is a lifelong journey, regardless of age or career status.
Diana, whose full name is Diana Danielle Danny Beeson, said being surrounded by highly educated individuals inspired her to formally enrich herself with knowledge at an institution of higher learning.
"Maybe it's because I am surrounded by people who have a master's degree or a PhD. Some even have double PhDs, double degrees or double master's. So for me, it's about what I want.
"Honestly, having a job doesn't mean you can't study. Even in Islam, we are encouraged to keep learning. So there's no issue there,' she said.
Speaking to Bernama after attending the Malaysia Bridal Fashion Week 2025 organised by The Gown Atelier recently, Diana admitted that balancing her studies, career and responsibilities as a mother has not been easy, but self-discipline and the support of those around her have helped immensely.
The 'Imaginur' actress said carrying out her tasks in stages allows her to complete everything to the best of her ability, without sacrificing her career or time with her family.
"I think every day I try to make sure I get through all my routine (tasks), even little by little. For example, even when I'm busy, I'll still revise, study and make sure to finish my homework,' she said.
Diana said her decision to further her education has received a positive response from fans. Some even came forward to express their admiration and said they were inspired by her determination.
"Many people came up to me and said they found it interesting (that I was continuing my studies). Some said there was no need to continue studying, while others encouraged me to go for it.
"To me, people have different views on the idea of furthering one's education. But if you enjoy it and it brings benefits, then just go for it,' she said. - BERNAMA
