UP CM Yogi performs special puja on Guru Purnima, holds Janta Darshan
Gorakhpur, July 10 (UNI) On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Goraksha Peethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath performed a special worship of Shivavatar Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath at the Gorakhnath Temple today, honouring the rich traditions of the Nath sect.
He paid heartfelt tributes to his Gurudev, Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath, Dadaguru Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath, Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath, and all the revered gurus of the Nath tradition, offering rituals and expressing gratitude for their lifelong guidance on the path of public service and spiritual upliftment.
The Guru Purnima rituals began at 5 AM amid Vedic chants and concluded with a collective Mahaarati. Following the tradition, Mahaprasad was offered to Guru Gorakhnath.
While Guru worship is a part of Yogi Adityanath's daily routine at the temple, Guru Purnima holds a special significance. On this day, he performed ceremonial worship at the Samadhi sites of his spiritual forebears and extended warm wishes of Guru Purnima to the people of the country.
Meanwhile, despite a packed Guru Purnima schedule, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a Janta Darshan in Gorakhpur today, reaffirming his government's commitment to resolving public grievances with urgency and empathy.
After morning rituals, he met nearly 200 people at the Gorakhnath temple complex, hearing their concerns and assuring timely redressal.
Many citizens, including women, raised issues related to land disputes and illegal encroachments. The Chief Minister took serious note and directed officials to take swift and strict action. He stressed that resolutions must be prompt, effective, and leave complainants fully satisfied, reiterating that grievance redressal must be both result-oriented and people-centric.
For those seeking financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses, CM Yogi assured them that lack of money would not hinder anyone's medical care. He instructed the administration to expedite the preparation of cost estimates for the concerned patients and submit them to the government immediately so that funds could be released without delay.
