Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu calls for victory rallies on June 12 to mark one year of NDA rule in Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu has called upon the party leaders to organise victory rallies in all the constituencies on June 12 marking the completion of one year of the NDA rule in the State, and says he will discuss the way forward in a meeting of the MPs and MLAs of the TDP, JSP and BJP the same day. Addressing a teleconference with the Ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs on Saturday, Mr. Naidu said the welfare schemes and development activities should be explained to the people to let them know how the NDA was undoing the damage that had been done by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in 2019-24, when the State lost its reputation and was teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. The NDA could bring about a welcome change in the last one year and it had to sustain the positive momentum for the next four years. Mr. Naidu said he was getting the impact of the performance of the government and the TDP assessed from time to time in order to make up for any shortcomings. Also, the party was tracking how the leaders were functioning, on the basis of which they would be encouraged to do better, or set aside from their roles, he said. Those falling short of the expectations will pay the price for their inefficiencies,' Mr. Naidu said. Further, Mr. Naidu said he was reviewing the performance of the MPs and MLAs every six months. Those doing well would be vested with greater responsibilities. He observed that most of the MLAs and MPs got closer to the people through their work and brought good name for the party and government. 'The government cannot afford to let administrative mistakes cost its image. In this regard, the Ministers and other elected representatives must be vigilant,' he observed. The NDA was moving forward with all its strength to rebuild the State that had been destroyed by the YSRCP, which was apparently trying to throw a spanner in the works even after suffering an ignominious defeat in the general elections, he said. However, the NDA would not budge from its mission to make Andhra Pradesh a progressive State, Mr. Naidu asserted. Administrative clearances were given for investments amounting to ₹5 lakh crore. The government was committed to completing the Polavaram project by 2027, and the State could secure a financial package of ₹11,400 crore for the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), while the ArcelorMittal-Nippon Steel was preparing to set up a massive plant in Anakapalli district, he said.

Kadapa, Kamalapuram constituencies ‘painted yellow' for the three-day TDP State-level Mahanadu beginning on May 27
Ahead of the Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) three-day State level jamboree 'Mahanadu 2025', begining on May 27, the contiguous constituencies of Kadapa and Kamalapuram appear painted yellow, the colour representing the TDP's flag. Flags and festoons flutter high and high-rise cutouts have made their presence quite conspicuous at the Pabbapuram venue in Chintakommadinne mandal of Kadapa district. In view of the venue's location close to the bypass road, traffic disruption in the city is expected to be minimal. The TDP district machinery has made elaborate arrangements for the leaders and functionaries to reach the sprawling venue through five routes. Five entry points are fixed at Pulivendula road point, Kamalapuram – Tadipatri road point, Mydukur-Kurnool road point, Siddavatam – Badvel road point and CK Dinne – Rajampet road (RIMS) point, from where signboards are arranged till the venue. More than a dozen Ministers and party coordinators are in town, working out last minute arrangements to eliminate hiccups and make the event a grand success. The road leading from Kadapa airport to the venue, considered crucial in terms of traffic movement, has been thoroughly barricaded and kept in ideal condition to ensure smooth movement of the VVIP crowd. Ministers Ponguru Narayana (Municipal Administration), Kinjarapu Atchannaidu (Agriculture), Anam Ramanarayana Reddy (Endowments), Kollu Ravindra (Excise), Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy (Transport and Youth Affairs), Gummadi Sandhya Rani (Women and Child Welfare), Anagani Satya Prasad (Revenue), B.C. Janardhan Reddy (Roads and Buildings) are already camping in Kadapa to review the arrangements. Similarly, party State president Palla Srinivas, MLCs Beeda Ravichandra, Bhoomireddy Ramagopal Reddy, former MLC Manthena Satyanarayana Raju are also busy monitoring the various tasks entrusted to the committees. On the security front, Director-General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta, Inspector-General (Operations) Ch. Srikanth and Deputy Inspector-General (Kurnool range) Koya Praveen have stayed put in Kadapa to keep a hawk's eye on the venue. Demand for buses In view of the shortage of hotel rooms in the city, which was found to be grossly inadequate to meet the inflow of party functionaries for the three-day meet, the demand for private buses has seen a sudden jump. This is apparently in tune with the decision of the party leadership to accommodate several of its members in places outside Kadapa, but within a travelling time of one hour to the venue. The places identified are Proddatur, Mydukur, Badvel, Pulivendula, Rajampeta etc. As the distance grew, the sudden need for buses was felt at the last minute and the leaders are busy mobilising around 100 buses for the event.
