Six-point agenda will guide us for next 45 years: Andhra CM Naidu
KADAPA: Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu, on Day 2 of Mahanadu 2025, described the Stree Shakti resolution for women empowerment as a game changer, promising zero tolerance to smear campaign or indecent remarks against women on social media. 'Those who misbehave with girls - that will be your last day,' he warned.
Stree Shakti is one of the six key resolutions unveiled by TDP national general secretary and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh aimed at shaping a progressive and inclusive future for Andhra Pradesh.
Announcing a series of welfare measures, Naidu said free RTC bus travel for women will be implemented from August 15. He promised to empower women both politically and economically, stating that one lakh DWCRA women will be transformed into entrepreneurs.
Naidu paid floral tributes to the statue of TDP founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao on his 102nd birth anniversary, calling him 'the soul of Telugu self-respect' and 'a transformational leader who redefined governance as sacred service.'
He said the six transformative resolutions launched under 'Naa Telugu Kutumbam' (My Telugu Family) by Lokesh will rewrite the history and define the future of the Telugu people. 'These six resolutions are visionary pillars that will guide us for the next 45 years,' Naidu said, emphasising that these reforms were designed to realign the party's governance in step with the changing aspirations of the people.

Undavalli Camp Office: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has set an ambitious target for officials, directing them to ensure that 15 lakh families in Andhra Pradesh are adopted by 'Margadarsis' (mentors) under the Zero Poverty P4 mission by August 15 this year. He emphasised the urgent need to accelerate both the registration of Margadarsis and the adoption process. Addressing a review meeting on the 'Zero Poverty P4' initiative at his Undavalli camp office on Wednesday, the Chief Minister reiterated that the P4 model is an extension of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) policy, which was introduced following economic reforms. During the meeting, he also instructed that the Smart Andhra Pradesh Foundation be restructured and renamed as the Swarna Andhra P4 Foundation. Naidu highlighted the Amaravati land pooling model as a prime case study for the P4 approach, noting how it enabled wealth creation for 29,000 farmers by making them partners in the capital's development. In a similar vein, he urged each Margadarsi to adopt a 'Bangaru Kutumbam' (Golden Family) and actively work towards their upliftment. The Chief Minister announced that he would personally review the progress of the P4 initiative every 10 days. He also reviewed various P4 logo designs presented by officials. Officials informed the Chief Minister that several organisations, including Milaap, Project DEEP, Rang De and Bhargo, have expressed their willingness to collaborate as partners in the effective implementation of the P4 initiative. According to data presented to the Chief Minister, out of the 19,15,771 families registered as 'Bangaru Kutumbalu' across the State, Margadarsis have currently adopted 70,272 families. Among these adopted families, the largest proportion belongs to the BC community (26,340 families), followed by SCs (14,024 families) and STs (13,115 families).

Cabinet nod for Quantum Mission in Amaravati capital
Vijayawada: The state Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday, accorded approval to the establishment of state Quantum Mission to fuel the growth of the information technology sector in Amaravati greenfield capital. Announcing this at a press conference at the Secretariat after the Cabinet meeting, Information and Public Relations Minister K Parthasarathy said the Cabinet had given consent to the Quantum Mission proposed by the Department of IT, Electronics and Communications as part of India's National Quantum Mission (NQM). A Quantum Valley, which will be set up in the capital city, will promote research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cyber security in partnership with TCS, IIT-Madras and IBM to attract world class researchers. The minister said Naidu aims to make Amaravati number one in quantum computing and added that India is currently at the sixth position in this segment in the world while AP is on top within India. "In future, Andhra Pradesh will be on top in the world in quantum computing. From schools to universities, all of them will be involved in training," he said. Parthasarathy said the government formed a committee of experts on quantum computing and noted that 50 acres of land has been allocated in Amaravati for Quantum Valley development. Further, the minister said the Cabinet gave its nod for viability gap funding of Rs 57 crore and Rs 82 crore for drinking water projects at Uddhanam in Srikakulam district and Kuppam in Chittoor district respectively. The Cabinet also approved the promotion of 248 Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) constables as head constables in the department. The Cabinet also approved the Home Department's proposals for the release of 17 life-term prisoners. For the establishment of Andhra Pradesh Police Academy, the Cabinet approved the free transfer of government land in Eluru district to the Home Department. Similarly, the Cabinet greenlighted the Health and Family Welfare Department's proposals to achieve a world record on International Yoga Day on June 21. Moreover, the Cabinet approved the Industries Department's proposal to set up one MSME park per assembly constituency, totalling 175 across the state as part of 'One Family, One Entrepreneur' programme, among others. Further, administrative approvals included the formalisation of the YSR district's name change to YSR Kadapa district. Earlier, the Cabinet extended congratulations to the Chief Minister Naidu for the successful implementation of several welfare schemes in the past year.

June 4 created history in AP politics: CM Naidu
Vijayawada: On completion of the first year of TDP-led NDA's victory in Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said June 4, 2024, was the day that created history in the state politics. "The day when dictators were swept away by the people's revolution. The day the people drove away, the madness that had been unleashed in the name of power. The day when the psycho regime came to an end and every citizen enjoyed freedom and peace," the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president posted on 'X'. Naidu recalled that it was the day when democracy was restored in the state by people who voted as a movement. He said it was a day when the state, hurt by state terrorism, was placed in the hands of the coalition and ushered in welfare, development, and good governance, a day when the state won with the struggle of the yellow soldiers, the movement of the Jana Sainiks, and the support of the BJP. The Chief Minister said the coalition government is working every day by treating the power given by the people a year ago as a responsibility to rebuild the state. "To fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people and to live up to the trust they placed in us, we have strengthened the governance, provided welfare and put the development back on rails," Naidu wrote. The CM stated that on the occasion of the completion of a year of the one-sided verdict given to change the direction of the state and recalling the victory, he bows his head before the people. "We promise to undertake many more development and welfare programs in the next four years. Congratulations and thanks to the workers and leaders of the Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party, who paved the way for the victory of the alliance with their uncompromising fight against the destructive rulers," he added.
