Inside Shah Rukh Khan's Rs 4 Crore Vanity Van: Gauri Khan, Aryan Khan's Photos To House-Like Interior
Last Updated: Shah Rukh Khan's co-star, Priyamani, said that his vanity van is like a house. Shah Rukh Khan owns the most impressive fleet of vehicles in Bollywood. Apart from cars, his love for automobiles can be seen by his efficiently customised vanity vans. Reportedly, his latest van costs a whopping Rs 4 crore and is customised to make the superstar feel at home. In a recent interview, Priyamani recalled shooting Chennai Express with SRK and hinted at what is inside the superstar's van. 'We had dinner in his vanity van, and that was the first time I saw it—I was like wow, I was in awe," Priyamani told Humans of Bombay. When asked to describe the van, she said that it is 'like a house". She added, 'It's very personal—it has his pictures, his family's pictures, and it's all very tastefully and beautifully done. So I had a tour of his vanity. We had dinner." This is not new for Shah Rukh Khan. The superstar likes to have pictures of his family wherever he stays. Even his suite for the IIFA Awards was adorned with pictures of Gauri Khan, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan. Back in 2020, details of one of SRK's vanities left fans impressed. The entire floor of the van is made of glass and is also backlit with LED lights. Apart from this, certain control aspects of the vehicle, such as lighting and adjusting the curtains, can be controlled and operated using an iPad. It also has a touch-control mechanism for lighting, heating and cooling systems. The van also has a pantry section, a wardrobe section, a special make-up chair and a separate toilet cubicle apart from a luxurious bathroom. The van has a topsy-turvy wooden panel roof and an amazing quality flat-screen TV, and a top-notch sound system. Additionally, there is also a mini-kitchen with basic provisions such as tea and coffee, fitted out with a microwave. Speaking of Shah Rukh Khan's stay, the actor's mansion, Mannat, is undergoing renovation. As per reports, Mannat is likely to get two new floors added to its tall frame. For the unversed, Gauri Khan applied for permission from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) to expand their iconic home. The proposal aims to add two more floors to the six-storey annexe, increasing its built-up area by 616.02 square meters. Shah Rukh Khan has rented two luxurious duplex apartments in Puja Casa in Bandra's Pali Hill on a three-year lease. Shah Rukh Khan has leased four floors in the building. These properties belong to Vashu Bhagnani, with one apartment owned by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, leased to Shah Rukh for Rs 11.54 lakh per month, alongside a security deposit of Rs 32.97 lakh. The second apartment, owned by producer Vashu Bhagnani, is rented at Rs 12.61 lakh per month, requiring a Rs 36 lakh deposit. First Published:

Cabinet boost for ship building industry
MUMBAI: The state government on Tuesday approved a policy for ship building and constructing a ship breaking yard in the state, which will be called 'Shipbuilding, Ship Repair and Ship Recycling Policy 2025'. The state's sole ship breaking yard at Darukhana, in Mumbai, was closed between 2015-16, as it was contributing to pollution. Speaking at a press conference in Mantralaya, ports minister Nitesh Rane said, 'The policy aims to transform Maharashtra into a major hub for shipbuilding and ancillary industries.' To spearhead the policy, prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned ₹25,000 crore as maritime development fund. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said, 'Each ship building yard can employ 50,000 to 60,000 persons and ship breaking yard 10,000 to 15,000 persons.' According to a Central government report, which is referenced in the fine print of the policy, China contributes 50% to global shipbuilding, Japan 15%, South Korea 28% — together making up over 93% of the global output. India's share is less than 1%, putting it on 21st position globally in shipbuilding; in ship repair India 20th, but in ship recycling, it holds the second position worldwide, with 32.6% share. To improve this, the central government's Maritime India Vision 2030 and Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047 aims to being the country in the top 10 slots. The state policy is based on Central government's blueprint. India had two major ship breaking yards on the western coast: Darukhana in Mumbai (almost closed) and Alang in Gujarat. 'Despite great potential, the sector faces significant challenges, including, low labour productivity, lack of ancillary industries, and a major shortage of capital. Ship repair faces similar issues: like competition from foreign shipyards, limited capacities in Indian companies, and lack of advanced technologies,' said an official. Sources said that setting up of such facilities will also include seeking permissions under Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority, for 'ports and waterfronts to be optimally utilized', said an official.

PIL to save Mumbai wetland: High court issues notice to BMC but does not stay landfilling
Mumbai: The Bombay high court on Thursday issued a notice to the BMC on a PIL that challenged the permission it had granted for landfilling a wetland plot at village Pahadi Goregaon in Oshiwara, Andheri (W). It, though, rejected a request for a stay on further landfilling. "We have taken cognisance of the issue because it's a genuine issue. We will do whatever is possible. Don't doubt our powers to undo a thing which is done," said Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Makarand Karnik, adding that parties will have to be heard. The judges also issued notices to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority and the Konkan Wetland Committee. Advocate Tushad Kakalia, representing petitioner-activist Zoru Bhathena, urged the court that pending the hearing, it "direct that no further filling is done". by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Google Brain Co-Founder Andrew Ng, Recommends: Read These 5 Books And Turn Your Life Around Blinkist: Andrew Ng's Reading List Undo He said the plot "is a wetland and appears in the Wetland Atlas (of the central govt), a compendium of all wetlands across the country".Bhathena's petition, filed last year, stated that the low-lying plot is over 472 acres. In Nov 2023, BMC granted sanction to Beeline Impex Pvt Ltd and Pearl Coschem Pvt Ltd, who claim to be owners of a part of the land, for the "development of compound wall/fencing work and filling work". On a complaint about landfilling of the plot, Bhathena's search revealed that nearly 9.8 acres of land along the plot's perimeter and adjoining mangroves were previously filled to block the free flow of intertidal water into the plot "to fool satellite imagery to report a misleading high tide line". The plot is in coastal regulation zone (CRZ)-1, where development is prohibited, and is reflected in development plans of 1991 and 2034. Bhathena cited high court and Supreme Court orders that ban the reclamation of wetlands. In his reply, the director of the two companies denied that it is a low-lying plot affected by tidal waters or that it appears in the Wetland Atlas as an intertidal mud flat surrounded on all sides by mangroves. He said Bhathena is "trying to stall development on the subject land" by suggesting it is included in Wetland Rules and CRZ regulations.
