The Tech Behind Mahindra's Infotainment Systems
Powerful performance, rugged appeal, and commanding road presence are some of the many reasons why Mahindra Auto sells so many SUVs. It goes without saying that every SUV you get from the automaker comes with its unique appeal. But there is one unifying feature in all these SUVs that adds to their premium appeal. The thing we are talking about here is the infotainment systems you get. Almost every new Mahindra SUV comes with advanced infotainment and cutting-edge technology integration. The question here is what these technologies are and how they make your life easier. Do you have similar confusion? No worries—continue reading as we explore the infotainment systems in different Mahindra SUVs to get more clarity. The Mahindra XUV700 is a truly futuristic SUV that makes the best use of all the available technological innovations. Naturally, the infotainment system you get with this SUV is also truly exceptional, depending on the variant you choose. The MX, or base variant of the Mahindra XUV700, comes with a 20.32cm (8″) Infotainment system with Android Auto. you also get a 17.78cm (7″) cluster·offering real-time information about driving conditions. Every other variant of the Mahindra XUV700 gets a dual HD 26.03 cm infotainment and 26.03 cm digital cluster screens. You can use this system for seamless navigation with Amazon Alexa built-in, wireless Android Auto, and wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility. What's more interesting is that you also get access to AdrenoX Connect with a 1 yr free subscription. When it comes to practical SUVs, there is hardly any option that can match the Mahindra XUV 3XO. This beast is a star of the C-segment SUV sphere and is equipped with many advanced technologies and features. While all of that is great, the infotainment system of the Mahindra XUV 3XO further adds to its premium appeal. For starters, the Mahindra XUV 3XO MX2 and MX2 Pro variants come with a 26.03 cm infotainment system. This tech-driven system has four well-placed speakers that offer superior sound quality. Then comes the MX3 and MX3 Pro variants of the Mahindra XUV 3XO, which have a 26.03 cm HD Infotainment system. What's great about this system is that it supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Lastly, the AX5, AX 5 Luxury, AX7, and AX7 Luxury variants of the Mahindra XUV 3XO get even better systems. These variants come with a Twin HD 26.03 cm Infotainment and 26.03 cm Digital Cluster Screen. This performant system supports Adrenox Connect with Built-in Alexa, online navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It has not been long since the launch of the Mahindra Thar Roxx, and the SUV has already become a fan-favourite among many. The credit for this goes to the SUV's bold appeal, practicality, performant engine, and, more importantly, the infotainment system. The base or MX1 variant of the Mahindra Thar Roxx has a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system. On the other hand, every other variant of the SUV has an HD 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system. The Mahindra Thar Roxx MX1, MX3, and MX5 variants have analogue dials with a MID cluster. The AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L variants have a 26.03 cm HD digital cluster. It is also worth noting that most of this SUV's variants offer seamless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While some variants have yet to receive this feature, it seems that this enhancement is not far away. Furthermore, the AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L variants of Mahindra Thar Roxx come with the Adrenox-connected car technology. This allows you to access built-in Alexa, get vehicle status alerts, access connected apps, and 83 connected features with geo and location services. The Mahindra Scorpio-N is another worthy addition to this list. This SUV even has a great infotainment system, and every variant of it comes with a touchscreen. However, you cannot say the same for the cluster you get with the Big Daddy of SUVs. The Z2, Z4, and Z6 variants of the SUV get a 10.66 cm monochrome instrument cluster. On the other hand, the top-end variants, starting with Z8S, Z8, and Z8L variants of the Scorpio-N, get a 17.78 cm colour TFT instrument cluster. These variants also get the Adrenox Connect with built-in Alexa. Finally, the base variant of the Mahindra Scorpio-N does not have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. With the Z4 and Z6 variants of the SUV, you can access these connectivity features but with a wire. However, with the top three variants of this SUV, you get these features in both wired and wireless modes. The Mahindra Bolero Neo is no exception in terms of a performant SUV ruling over the hearts of many Indians. The SUV's N4, or base variant, does not come with any type of infotainment system. However, the N8 variant, which is a slight upgrade from the base variant, gets a 2-DIN music player with Bluetooth, Aux, and USB connectivity. The top-end N10 and N10 (O) variants of the Mahindra Bolero Neo come with a touchscreen infotainment system with USB, Bluetooth, and AUX connectivity features. But the best thing about the Mahindra Bolero Neo is that every variant gets a twin-pod instrument cluster. Whether you buy the base or the top-end variant, you will get an 8.9 cm LCD cluster display, which adds a premium touch to the interiors. These days, almost every SUV comes with great infotainment systems and instrument clusters. But when we talk of Mahindra, it is worth acknowledging that whatever you get here will depend on the SUV and variant you choose. So, make sure you are familiar with these relevant specifications and refer to them before bringing a new Mahindra home. TIME BUSINESS NEWS

Mahindra Hints At Next-Gen SUV Lineup With Freedom_NU Teasers
The Vision T, Vision S, Vision SXT, and Vision X are likely early glimpses of a brand-new flexible vehicle platform. Mahindra has kicked off a teaser campaign called freedom_nu ahead of its annual Independence Day event on August 15. At the event, the company will reveal a 'new platform vision" and showcase four new concept SUVs. The teasers feature both electric (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) versions, indicated by Mahindra's Twin Peaks logos, suggesting the upcoming platform may support multiple fuel types. The four concept SUVs have been named Vision T, Vision S, Vision X, and Vision SXT. All the teaser images show a top-down view of the bonnet, giving small clues about each model's identity and design. These concepts are expected to lay the foundation for future SUV families under Mahindra's strategy of building a 'house of brands." It's sleek, it's sharp, it's athletic. Vision.X joins the #FREEDOM_NU line up this 15th August 2025 #MahindraAuto #MahindraElectricOriginSUVs — Mahindra Automotive (@Mahindra_Auto) July 7, 2025 Let's take a closer look at each of them. Vision T The Vision T teaser was released first. The 'T' most likely connects it to the Thar lineup. The bonnet is square with bold wheel arches, visible bonnet latches, and rugged all-terrain tyres. These elements hint that this could be an updated or near-production version of the Thar.e concept, which Mahindra showcased in South Africa in 2023. The Vision SXT is a bit of a mystery. However, the design closely matches the Vision T, with similar bonnet latches and rugged styling. This suggests it could be a Thar-based variant—possibly a pickup truck, inspired by the Global Pik Up concept Mahindra revealed last year. Vision X This SUV appears more refined and less off-road focused than the others. It features sleek, sporty lines and seems to be part of the XUV family. Many believe this could be the much-awaited XEV 7e, a premium, urban SUV that would sit alongside the XEV 9e coupe SUV. The XEV 7e has already been spotted in testing and may borrow design elements from the XUV700 and Mahindra's newer EVs. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Last Updated: The upcoming platform will likely be called NU, replacing its earlier working name, NFA (New Flexible Architecture). Mahindra is all set to make a major announcement this Independence Day. The brand has teased a brand-new vehicle platform, expected to be called NU, ahead of its official debut on August 15, 2025, in Mumbai. Freedom gets a ???????? expression this Independence Day as we showcase a Bold ???????? vision for the future. #FREEDOM_NU #MahindraAuto #MahindraElectricOriginSUVs — Mahindra Automotive (@Mahindra_Auto) June 26, 2025 This comes as part of Mahindra's larger push to introduce future-ready products across various segments. The teaser, released on Mahindra Automotive's social media, hints that the platform—previously known as NFA (New Flexible Architecture)—may support ICE (petrol and diesel), hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. Interestingly, the teaser video also shows the Mahindra Electric Origin SUV logo, suggesting this new platform could serve both traditional and electric models. The NU platform will be built at Mahindra's Chakan plant, which is currently undergoing major upgrades to increase production capacity and prepare for next-gen vehicles, as per NDTV Auto. Next-Gen Bolero and Thar in the Works? Industry insiders believe that Mahindra might launch the upcoming Bolero or Thar Sports on this new platform. Though not officially confirmed, the next-gen Bolero has already been spotted testing, and is expected to feature a monocoque structure, making it lighter and more efficient. Rumours also suggest that Mahindra is working on hybrid technology, focusing on range-extender plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) instead of traditional self-charging hybrids. This would give drivers more electric range and efficiency, without compromising performance. Continuing a Proud Tradition For years, Mahindra has used August 15—India's Independence Day—as a platform to showcase its innovations. This year, instead of launching a new car, the spotlight will be on the foundation for future Mahindra models—a smart, adaptable platform designed for the evolving needs of Indian and global markets.
