This Man Picked Tata Safari Over Scorpio N, Thar Roxx. Here's Why
Last Updated: An ex-Tata Safari Storme owner had an interesting time trialling the other Indian SUVs before he decided to buy a new Safari from a Tata dealership in Goa. If you are an automobile enthusiast looking to buy an Indian SUV with seven-seated capacity, limited options – Tata Safari, Mahindra Scorpio N & XUV700 – may be available within a budget-friendly price range. For such enthusiasts, it is easy to get confused amidst a host of advanced features provided by the respective brands. One ex-Tata Safari Storme owner, however, had no such problem, as he explained why he ultimately bought a new Safari instead of the Mahindra Scorpio N or Thar Roxx. In a video shared over Motowheelz India's YouTube channel, this Goa resident revealed he had been using a Tata Safari Storme for a number of years. However, when that vehicle started developing frequent issues, he decided not to repair his Storme and instead buy a new car. When looking at options, the car owner revealed he had the Tata Harrier, Mahindra Scorpio N and Tata Safari in his wishlist. What followed, though, led him to buy the Tata Safari again. On visiting the Tata dealership, the individual took a test drive of the Harrier but ended up disappointed with the drive, as he felt it was not offering him a commanding driving position. In the video, the owner also mentioned that the ride quality was not satisfactory. After the Harrier, he turned to the Mahindra Scorpio N. The Goa resident wanted a mid-variant of the SUV since he wasn't a fan of the panoramic sunroof. On driving the Mahindra Scorpio N, he decided to book the Z4 variant. However, research done on time got him wary after he learnt that the diesel engine in the Z4 variant generates less power than the top-end variant. When the person asked dealership staff about it, he realised they were trying to mislead him, suggesting that Mahendra offers the same power and torque figures as the higher variants. An experience with the Mahindra Thar Roxx also bore no desired fruits, even as the individual took the test drive and was impressed initially. An enquiry with the Mahindra dealer in Goa to book the base variant saw the staff failing to respond promptly and providing him no timely confirmation. That dissuaded the owner, who decided to move on since he felt the Mahindra dealer itself was not interested in selling the vehicle. Eventually, the Goa resident revealed he went to the Tata dealership again, took a test drive of the Safari and decided this is it, he must book one. The car owner booked the Pure variant, which offered a host of interesting features. The owner was particularly impressed with the comfort and ride quality, apart from the driving position inside the Safari. Upon comparison, he found the new Safari to be better than the Harrier. Paralympian Sheetal Devi Proves Nothing Is Impossible, Even Steering With Her Feet
Taking to Instagram, Sheetal Devi shared a video, where she can be seen driving a car through the scenic roads of Jammu & Kashmir using her feet. After winning the bronze medal at the Paris Paralympic 2024, Indian athlete Sheetal Devi is once again making headlines, but this time not for her sporting achievements, but for confidently taking the driver's seat. Taking to Instagram, Sheetal Devi shared a video, where she can be seen driving a car through the scenic roads of Jammu & Kashmir using her feet. The vehicle she is driving is a specially modified Mahindra Scorpio N, gifted to her by Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra after she turned 18. Sharing the clip, Sheetal wrote: 'Took on the driver's seat for a while, loving every moment of it." Along with it, she left her followers with a powerful message: 'Never say NEVER." Within just a few hours, the video went viral, garnering millions of views and heartwarming reactions from fans and followers alike. The comments section was quickly filled with messages of admiration and pride. One user wrote, 'Aap toh desh ki saari ladkiyon ke liye ek inspiration ho, salute." Another added, 'Passed in one more challenge." advetisement Who is Sheetal Devi? Sheetal Devi was born with phocomelia, a rare congenital condition that left her without arms. Yet, what many would see as a limitation became her driving force. From an early age, she pursued sports and proved that determination knows no physical boundaries. During her initial para-archery training, coaches attempted to help her use prosthetics. But when that didn't work, they took a different path, one that changed her life. Inspired by Matt Stutzman, the American archer born without arms who won silver at the London 2012 Paralympics using his legs, Sheetal embraced alternative shooting techniques. She tried every method possible, from shooting with her legs and her jaw to adapting and experimenting with different techniques and perfecting her craft with relentless dedication. That dedication bore fruit. In 2023, she became the world's number one para archer in the open category. She went on to win two golds and one silver at the Asian Para Games, followed by a silver medal at the World Archery Para Championships. Her defining moment came during the Paris Paralympics 2024, where she not only secured a bronze medal but also broke the previous world record of 698 points, scoring 703 out of 720. This made her one of just two athletes in history to win a Paralympic medal without arms. Mahindra's Tribute to India's Paralympians Sheetal Devi is not the only Paralympian to be recognised by Mahindra & Mahindra. The auto giant has previously honoured several other athletes who have brought glory to India on the global stage. Among them is Avani Lekhara, who bagged gold in the Women's 10m Air Rifle and bronze in the 50m Air Rifle events at the Paralympic Games. Then there's Sumit Antil, who clinched gold at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. The company also gifted a specially customised XUV700 to Deepa Malik, a Paralympian and a prominent figure in Indian para-sports. With each gesture, Mahindra continues to reinforce its commitment to celebrating grit, resilience, and the indomitable spirit of India's para-athletes. First Published:

Mahindra Scorpio-N vs Elephant: Watch What Happens Next In Viral Video
Encounters with wild animals on roads passing through the forest are normal. With small animals, the face-off is often resolved peacefully. However, if you are put up against an elephant, things can take a different route. This is what happened in this case, when a Mahindra Scorpio N owner crossed paths with an elephant. The incident was caught on camera, and now the video is going viral on the internet. The video shared on social media shows a Mahindra Scorpio-N driver coming across an elephant. Instead of turning the other way, he seems to be challenging the angry elephant. The massive animal starts charging towards the SUV while the driver reverses it along the route to avoid getting run over. Also Read: After some time spent in reverse, the video shows the vehicle was parked on the side of the road. At the same time, it is also evident that the front of this specific SUV had a dent. It is most likely that the elephant caused this damage with its trunk or its legs. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Scorpios11 (@ The fortunate aspect in this situation was that the vehicle remained operable. Consequently, after pausing at one moment, the driver opted to confront the elephant and then steered the vehicle to the left, quickly accelerating to escape any further pursuit. It is to be noted that the Mahindra Scorpio-N is one of the SUVs in the Indian market that offers a massive road presence. However, using the size of the vehicle to aggravate an elephant is something that should be avoided in any situation. The Mahindra Scorpio-N is currently sold at a starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 25.15 lakh (ex-showroom). It is powered by either a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine or a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The transmission options include a manual and an automatic.
