Recently, Farah visited Shruti Haasan's Mumbai home, where she recalled how the actress's father said no to the antagonist role, which later went on to Suniel Shetty. 'Kamal sir was my first choice for Main Hoon Na, but then Suniel Shetty played that role. I went to Chennai to his office and narrated him the script, and he politely asked me to duck off,' Farah laughed, without revealing why he refused.
In the film, the role being considered, was the antagonist, Raghavan Dutta, who stands against Shah Rukh Khan in the Indo-Pak peace initiative 'Project Milap.' The part was eventually offered to Suniel Shetty, who said yes, and gave a standout performance in the film. About Main Hoon Na
Released in 2004, Main Hoon Na emerged as a blockbuster success both commercially as well as critically. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kamal Haasan as last seen in Thug Life. Whereas, Shruti Haasan is currently prepping to star opposite superstar Rajinikanth in the upcoming action thriller, Coolie. The film is slated to release in theatres on August 14.
