She shares a very close relationship with her father, and last year in an interview opened up about the same. She told iDream Media, 'Half the time I bunk school is because of my dad. On days he doesn't have work…I don't know how he does it; he persuades my mother (Namrata Shirodkar) to let me not go to school. It's great and lovely, we have fun together. I watch all his films in theatres, I recently watched Murari when it was re-released. Honestly, everyone thinks of my dad as a hero. I feel that way when I watch his films. But at home, he's just my dad." Sitara was reportedly the first Indian starkid to be displayed in New York's Times Square, after she endorsed a jewellery brand based in Hyderabad. She rose to prominence for her performance in the song Penny from Mahesh Babu's 2022 film Sarkaru Vaari Paata, as well as for lending her voice to the character of Baby Elsa in the Telugu-dubbed version of Disney's Frozen 2. A love for travel that provedfatal for Jaipur backpacker

1 2 Jaipur: Almost 10 years after she lost her husband, Jyoti Udhwani (61) was dealt another mortal blow. Her younger son, Niraj Udhwani (32), a finance manager in Dubai, was among the 26 holidaymakers shot dead by militants at a meadow in Pahalgam on Tuesday afternoon. "I last spoke with my son over the phone on April 21. His flight was slightly delayed. We chatted for a few minutes and he spoke briefly about his Kashmir trip," Jyoti told TOI at the family's apartment in Jagatpura. Niraj was a regular backpacker and Kashmir was long on his travel list. So, when a friend's wedding invitation arrived from Shimla this month, he told his wife Ayushi (30) there could not be a better time to go to Kashmir. His uncle Dinesh said that the couple landed in India on April 16, went to Shimla, attended the wedding, and headed to Kashmir via Chandigarh on April 21. On Tuesday evening, Ayushi made a frantic phone call to Niraj's elder brother Kishore, an income tax inspector in the city, saying that Niraj has been shot and taken to a hospital. "She was distraught and did not know the condition of her husband. The security agencies moved her along with others to a separate safe location," said victim's uncle Pradeep Geryani. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! "We did not know where Niraj was, in what condition he was. There was no information about him available till late night," said Niraj's aunt Jyotsna. Niraj married Ayushi in 2023, and they last visited Jaipur in Jan to celebrate Makar Sankranti. During this trip, they decided to give Jaipur a miss. Speaking to TOI, his mother said that when Niraj last spoke to her, she asked him to be careful. Speaking to TOI, family members said that Niraj's father, who had settled in Dubai, died about 10 years ago. "Niraj completed his graduation in commerce from Rajasthan University in 2013, after which he left for Dubai," said a relative. He has also completed a course from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Vijay's Final Acting Bow ‘Jana Nayagan' Sets 2026 Release Date (EXCLUSIVE)

Tamil-language cinema superstar Vijay's highly anticipated cinematic farewell, 'Jana Nayagan,' has officially locked its global theatrical release for Jan. 9, 2026, positioning the film for a dominant run during the lucrative Makar Sankranti and Pongal holiday corridor. Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, 'Jana Nayagan' (which translates to 'The People's Leader') marks a significant milestone as Vijay's final on-screen appearance before his previously announced retirement from acting in order to join politics. The strategic release date places the film just days ahead of the Pongal festival (Jan. 14, 2026), historically a lucrative period for Tamil cinema. More from Variety Vijay's 69th, and Possibly Last, Film Before Entering Politics Full Time Sets Director, Release Date Vijay's 'GOAT' Roars: AGS Entertainment's Archana Kalpathi on Its Biggest Venture Yet, 'A Proper Action Entertainer' (EXCLUSIVE) 'Leo: Bloody Sweet' Director Lokesh Kanagaraj on Vijay-Starring Hit: 'It Is My Tribute to David Cronenberg' (EXCLUSIVE) The timing appears calculated to maximize box office potential, with the film benefiting from a five-day festive weekend and the massive draw of Vijay's farewell performance. The actor has previously dominated this holiday window with several hits throughout his career. It began with the 2007 breakout 'Pokkiri' and 2011's 'Kaavalan.' In 2014's 'Jilla' Vijay went head-to-head with Ajith Kumar's 'Veeram' in the Pongal clash of the decade — 'Jilla', co-starring Mohanlal, held its own and proved his enduring pull. 'Bairavaa' (2017) managed to score big at the cash register thanks to festival momentum. But it was 2021's 'Master' — his first collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj — that rewrote the pandemic-era playbook, reviving theatrical footfall and delivering a certified blockbuster. Across the board, Vijay's Pongal releases have consistently turned festive fervor into front-loaded firepower. The 50-year-old actor, born Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar and known simply as Vijay, founded the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (Tamil Nadu Victory Federation) political party in 2024 and serves as its president. He is the latest in a long list of film industry people from the southern Indian state who joined politics. These include actors M.G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa and screenwriter M. Karunanidhi, all of whom went on to become chief ministers of Tamil Nadu. Vijay's last release 'The Greatest of All Time' (2024), grossed some $52 million. KVN Productions has partnered with Phars Film for global distribution, ensuring the film reaches international audiences across major markets. The production company is simultaneously developing other high-profile projects including 'Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups' and 'Bad Good Ugly.' Vinoth's last three films 'Nerkonda Paarvai' (2019), 'Valimai' (2022), and 'Thunivu' (2023) all starred Ajith Kumar.
