The Digital School, a pioneering initiative under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, has launched a wide-ranging digital education partnership with the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, aiming to transform the region's education sector with future-ready tools and methodologies. The announcement came during an official visit by The Digital School delegation to the Kurdistan Region, where several digital schools were inaugurated, 2,400 teachers graduated from digital training programmes, and a new initiative was launched to train 10,000 more educators in collaboration with Arizona State University. The collaboration, developed in coordination with the region's Ministry of Education, includes the full integration of Kurdish language support across The Digital School's digital learning platforms. The visit also featured classroom visits, equipment inspections, and a recognition ceremony for top-performing teachers. Dubai Cares, a key supporter, emphasised the role of digital education in building inclusive, adaptable learning systems for a rapidly changing world. Launched in 2020, The Digital School aims to deliver high-quality digital and blended learning to underserved communities, refugees, and displaced learners worldwide.
