One hurt, on arrested after Henry County stabbing
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A man was taken to the hospital after a stabbing in Axton Saturday afternoon.
Henry County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to the stabbing at a home on the 1600 block of Birchwood Road around 4:45 p.m. The victim was reportedly first driven to a nearby hospital before he had to be airlifted to another facility because of the severity of his injuries.
Deputies say they used a K9 to search the woods behind the residence, eventually finding 40-year-old Kenneth Uron Martin Jr. He was taken into custody without incident, according to HCSO.
Martin is charged with Malicious Wounding.
