Mommy blogger Candice Miller deactivates Instagram days after posting for the first time since husband's suicide
Hamptons mommy blogger Candice Miller deactivated the Instagram account that made her famous just days after she posted for the first time since her husband's shock suicide last year. The mom of two — who was saddled with hubby Brandon Miller's nearly $33.6 million debt following his death — shut down the Instagram account for Mama & Tata, the luxury lifestyle blog that she ran with her sister documenting their ritzy lives. Earlier this week, Miller returned to Instagram and posted a photo of the sun glaring over the ocean with a cryptic quote attributed to French philosopher Albert Camus. Candice Miller was saddled with her late husband Brandon Miller's nearly $33.6 million debt following his death. Bre Johnson/ / Shutterstock 'In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer,' the caption read. 'And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there's something stronger – something better, pushing right back.' Miller's husband Brandon, a high-profile New York real estate developer, poisoned himself in the garage of their Hamptons home over the 4th of July weekend last year as he secretly battled a mountain of debt totaling $33.6 million. At the time of his death, the 44-year-old had just $8,000 in the bank. After Brandon's death, Miller sold their Hamptons estate for $12.8 million and resettled with her two daughters in Miami, Florida, where she is working on rebuilding her life.

Candice Miller Deactivates Instagram Again After Returning to Social Media Following Husband's Death
Candice Miller has gone radio silent on social media again, deactivating her Instagram account days after her brief return. Us Weekly confirmed on Thursday, June 5, that Miller's Instagram profile is no longer active. The shift came two days after Miller posted her first message on her page since her husband, Brandon Miller, died last summer. 'In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer,' Candice, 42, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, June 3. 'And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there's something stronger — something better, pushing right back.' The Mama & Tata influencer also shared a photo of the sun peeking through cloudy skies hovering over a body of water, to set the scene. Socialite Candice Miller Rebuilding Her Life in Miami 6 Months After Husband Brandon's Death: Report The post was Candice's first since Brandon died by suicide in July 2024 at the age of 43. At the time, The Times reported that Brandon, a luxury real estate mogul, was found 'unconscious' in his Hamptons home and was transported to a Southampton hospital, where he later died. Candice and the couple's two daughters were on vacation in Italy when Brandon died. 'Candice is devastated by the loss of her soul mate, and her two young daughters' lives are forever impacted by the loss of their beloved daddy,' a family spokesperson told the New York Times in a statement in August 2024. The following month, Candice was sued for $195,000 in unpaid rent on the couple's Manhattan condo. According to court docs obtained by Us, Candice's lawyers argued she shouldn't be held responsible for the balance because her name was reportedly never on the lease. In December 2024, Candice filed court papers claiming that her late husband was $33.6 million in debt when he died. She alleged that she only had $8,000 in a bank account and was therefore unable to repay Brandon's outstanding loans. Amanda Batula and Ciara Miller Want Paige DeSorbo to 'Spread Her Wings' After Craig Conover Split The Times, however, previously reported that Candice benefitted from $15 million worth of Brandon's life insurance policies and sold their joint residence earlier that month. Earlier this year, Page Six reported that Candice was selling her belongings to offset some of the debt her husband left behind. The outlet reported in January that Candice was attending parties and events around the Miami Beach area and slowly rebuilding her life. TikToker Jennifer Sheffield Said She Felt 'Incredible' About Ex-Husband Before Apparent Murder-Suicide Two friends claiming to be close to Candice told Page Six that the mommy blogger had been spotted attending workout classes and seen out at dinners after relocating to Florida. Candice, however, has remained quiet on social media — and shut down her Mama & Tata blog — except for the one post earlier this month on Instagram. A family spokesperson told the New York Times that Miller was 'devastated by the loss of her soul mate, and her two young daughters' lives are forever impacted by the loss of their beloved daddy.' While Miller received $15 million in payouts from life insurance policies following her husband's death, she forked out $4 million to settle an unpaid loan lawsuit, the report added. Their Hamptons home, which reportedly was financed through four mortgages totalling almost $12 million, was eventually sold following offers of $13 million and $12.8 million. A year after tragedy, mommy blogger breaks her silence. See the cryptic post
She's back. Almost a year after moving to South Florida after immense family tragedy, Candice Miller re-emerged on Instagram. Last July, the socialite's husband, real estate tycoon Brandon Miller, died after being found unconscious in the garage of the family's Hamptons mansion. The 43-year-old's death was later ruled a suicide, due to overwhelming debt, according to The New York Times. The so called mommy blogger, whose lifestyle page Mama & Tata boasted roughly 100,000 followers at the time, quickly deleted the account. Miller has kept a low profile since selling their home for $12.8 million, auctioning off its items and rebuilding her life down south with her two daughters. According to they live in an apartment in Miami Beach owned by a pal, Alexander von Furstenberg, designer Diane von Furstenberg's son. But now the 42-year-old influencer seems ready to embrace a new chapter. Monday's post on her public personal page shows a picture of a sunrise over the ocean in an unknown location. ''In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer,'' said the caption, quoting a 1950 essay 'Return to Tipasa.' by French philosopher Albert Camus. 'And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there's something stronger — something better, pushing right back.' It's unclear if Miller will resume Mama & Tata, or start a completely different project. The original website, with content about lavish vacations, luxury beauty treatments and five-star meals, says it's expired.
