Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister to conduct surprise inspections after June 12 to get feedback on implementation of welfare schemes
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will start doing surprise inspections anytime after June 12 to obtain a first-hand account of the manner of implementation of welfare schemes and the delivery of citizen services. Announcing it in a review meeting on the Public Distribution System, Deepam - 2, APSRTC, and Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department services at the Secretariat on Monday, Mr. Naidu said emphasis should be laid on ensuring cent per cent public satisfaction as the coalition government was completing one year soon, while pointing out that data analytics was bound to play a crucial role in obtaining public feedback and streamlining the service delivery. He noted that 325 services were being currently provided through Mana Mitra WhatsApp governance, and 4.50 million people have successfully availed of the services so far. It has been targeted to increase the number of those services to 500 by June 12. Drone City Steps were taken to render a variety of services through drones. A Drone City was in the process of being established in about 300 acres (116 acres in the first phase) at Orvakal in Kurnool district. So far, 38 companies have come forward to set up drone manufacturing and related industries there. The DPR was ready and the tender process is poised to be completed by June 12. Mr. Naidu said while some departments have improved their performance, APSRTC was to render better services to the people as they were below expectations. The corporation has to make up for the deficiencies in supplying drinking water at bus stands, and in maintaining cleanliness in the toilets. He stated that the subsidy on three LPG cylinders would be remitted into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in advance, and warned of stringent action against the collection of additional sums from the Deepam beneficiaries. The Chief Minister stated that garbage collection has improved in rural areas, and expressed confidence that assigning the responsibility of wet garbage management to the DWCRA groups would improve the situation significantly.

Officials told to deliver all govt services through ‘Mana Mitra'
Vijayawada: Making it clear that people should not make rounds to government offices for their works, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu ordered the officials to ensure that people get all the services online through Mana Mitra WhatsApp governance. Conducting a review meeting on Monday at the State Secretariat on the activities of Real Time Governance, the Chief Minister told the officials to take the WhatsApp governance to the people on a massive scale to create better awareness among them. Steps should be taken to see to it that the people receive all kinds of government services online without any kind of obstacles. All the departments should improve their activities to this end, he added. CM Naidu said that better services can be provided to the public through drones and steps should be taken to ensure that the public extensively utilise the drone services. Also, a workshop be conducted with the government wings and the companies that are extending use services to bring awareness among the officers of various departments on this, the Chief Minister said. Chandrababu directed the officers of Municipal Administration and Public Health to use the drones to the maximum extent possible for checking the mosquito menace. The CM is also keen that steps should be initiated so that the 'work-from-home' programme too should be implemented at a faster pace. It should be promoted continuously and the officers should move ahead in a planned manner, he added. Also, a comprehensive exercise should be held on how many jobs will be made available in the next three years, employment opportunities can be created to how many people and what sort of skills they need. If necessary, a consultancy be appointed for this purpose, he said. Skill training should be provided to human resources, who are readily available for 'work-from-home', the Chief Minister said. Secretary (RTG) Bhaskar Katamaneni, informed the Chief Minister that the Data Lake works are almost complete and that 273 various kinds of services are presently available on WhatsApp governance while 370 to 380 various services will be made available before June 12. He also said that Aware Hub will be created in RTGS to study the the climatic changes from time to time and extend necessary services to the public. Chief Secretary K Vijayanand, the Chief Minister's Secretaries, Muddada Ravi Chandra and PS Pradyumna, the Director of Information and Public Relations Himanshu Shukla, the Secretary (Revenue), Prabhakar Reddy, the RTGS CEO, Prakhar Jain, t Deputy CEO, Ms M Madhuri along with others were present.

Deliver all government services through the Mana Mitra WhatsApp platform, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister directs officials
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu told the officials to gear up to deliver all government services through the Mana Mitra WhatsApp platform and stressed the need to spread awareness about it so that people would be able to derive maximum benefit out of it. Reviewing the operations of the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) on Monday, Mr. Naidu ordered that the formation of the proposed data lake be expedited and to utilise drones to provide better services to the citizens. He said the use cases of drones should be explained to the people and necessary steps be taken to enable them to access those services, and advised the Municipal Administration & Urban Development and Health Departments to use the drones in curbing the mosquito menace. Work-from-home programme Mr. Naidu called for rapid implementation of the work-from-home programme and wanted a study to be done on how many jobs could be created in the next three years and the skills required. RTGS Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni said that the data lake work was almost complete and as on date, 273 services were being rendered through WhatsApp Governance, and by June 12, the number would cross 370. AI-based IVRS system The dissemination of weather updates from the RTGS was being improved and an AI-based IVRS system would soon be used for sending lightning alerts to citizens' mobile phones at least an hour in advance.
