Mandy Rose Reacts To Report That Some Recent WWE Releases Were Due To Laziness
Last week, WWE had released several superstars including former Universal Champion Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai, Cora Jade, Shayna Baszler, Gigi Dolin, and many more. Figure4Online's Dave Meltzer had recently reported that the reason for some of the releases was because the talents were lazy. Former NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose recently shared her thoughts on the reports. While speaking on her Power Alphas podcast, Mandy Rose shared the reports that talents being lazy was completely false. She was also happy that Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade spoke up about the rumor. Rose also mentioned that the talents are working their rear end off constantly at the WWE Performance Center. Advertisement 'There are some rumors going around that I happened to see on social media. One rumor was, 'Apparently, the people that got released weren't putting in enough work or they were lazy.' A couple of the girls, Cora and Gigi, made a comment about it on Twitter. I like that they spoke up. I think it's BS and it's so stupid. Because we've been there and we know how it works when it comes to releases. 'You can't sit and say there was a specific reason or make up a reason of being 'someone didn't put in enough work.' There is no time to be lazy at the PC. You're training all week, you're putting in the work, some of these girls have been there a couple of years now. You're going to live events and traveling all around Florida. You have one day off, like Sunday, to regroup and all that. You're hustling. To say that is so stupid. Then there was a rumor 'Braun Strowman was getting paid too much,' maybe that's true, I don't know,' Mandy Rose said. Mandy Rose Questions WWE Return: ‘I Don't Know'
Photo Credit: WWE Former WWE NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose recently discussed the possibility of returning to the promotion. In 2022, Rose dominated WWE NXT, enjoying one of the best runs of her career as she held the NXT Women's Championship for 413 days. However, in December of that year, she lost the title to Roxanne Perez on WWE NXT. The next day, WWE released her, reportedly due to her FanTime content, shocking fans. Now, after spending over two years away, Rose has addressed a potential comeback. However, she doubts whether WWE would accept her, feeling as though the promotion has erased her from its history. Advertisement Stephanie Vaquer won the NXT Women's Championship by defeating Giulia, making her a double champion. After her win, WWE called her the first woman to hold two titles in NXT. However, fans pointed out that Rose had already done this by unifying the NXT and NXT UK Women's Championships. Rose reacted by challenging WWE's claim. In an interview on Busted Open Radio, Mandy Rose addressed whether it surprised her that she is no longer referenced on WWE TV. She stated: 'It does. I really don't know what it was. Circumstantial, and there have been a lot of people in the company where things happen and time goes on and they come back. It's a business, at the end of the day, and they look at it like a business. I have no idea what it is. I thought maybe I'd be back too, wrestling in general. The cards right now for me, I'm doing really well, and does it make sense for me to go back to wrestling? I don't know, and that's something I'm still unsure about. I've never hung up the boots and said I'm done. I'm still young. If it made sense, I would definitely consider it.' Mandy Rose expresses her feeling about WWE return In the same interview, Mandy Rose discussed the possibility of appearing in the Women's Royal Rumble match. She admitted she's unsure if WWE would welcome her back. She stated: Advertisement 'I don't know if they would accept me back. I don't know how they feel. I've never had a conversation. Are they really offended with what happened? I don't know. Maybe they just don't want to be associated with me anymore, in a sense, because I feel like I'm a little bit erased in certain scenarios. NXT did mention me not too long ago. It was a promo package and they were talking about the women in general evolving, which was cool. That gave me a little glimmer of hope, 'Oh, I got a little recognition there.' I feel like I am a little erased from their Rolodex of superstars. I could be wrong.' [H/T: Fightful] With Rose open to the possibility of a return if the right opportunity arises, it will be interesting to see if WWE is willing to bring her back. Only time will tell.
