Body of missing 11-year-old boy found in well
Daltonganj: A highly decomposed body of an 11-year-old boy was recovered from a well at Manhar village under the Parwa police station limits in Palamu on Tuesday.
SDPO (Sadar) Mani Bhushan Prasad said, "The deceased has been identified as Gautam of Sua village under the Sadar police station limits in Daltonganj."

He added that the child went to a marriage ceremony (baraat) in Manhar on June 1 with his father, Kuldip Prasad Gupta, and went missing thereafter. A missing person's report was lodged with the Parwa police station.
SDPO said, "The local police conducted a search for the child." A missing case, if unsolved for two days, automatically becomes a case of kidnapping. This happened in the case of Gautam as well.
"Police, dropping the missing term, invoked section 138, which deals with abduction in the BNS," the SDPO said.
Sources said the child's photo was made viral only on the evening of Monday for tracing, and the body was found a day after. The SDPO assured that a probe is underway to find what caused his death.
